Riverdale Assisted Living Facility

My mother was a Riverdale for six months. Let me say COVID is not an excuse to lock down the facility indefinitely. For Mother’s Day my daughter and I brought cheese to share in the visiting space. We were told after 5 minutes we had to move because we could not be supervised. Yet, the space that was set aside for visitors. Even my mother says this was the worst place she has lived. She says the food is “recycled.” I asked for menus four times and never got one. Riverdale had a COVID outbreak in June and did not tell me. I found out after I arrived to take my mother out for an appointment. During move out, everything was disorganized even after calling and confirming. The nurses provided medication and did their jobs as far as I know. The weekend nurses and staff are the best. New management is trying harder but have a ways to go.

They are not professional at all they just waste people time I can't put apologizes in my tank talking about they don't have anything together I did an application and no one there can locate any of my information

This is a horrible facility that does not pay their bills to companies who do work for them. They have an extremely bad sewage problem that causes waste to back up in residents rooms. Temporarily repaired problem for them as per their request and never received payment.

I have been trying to get a hold of my dad to have a conversation with him for the past 3 hours. I have been calling back every 30-1hr to give the nurses a chance to go back to his room JUST to make sure his phone is charged and on. Nothing else, VERY simple. I feel like I shouldn’t have to jump through hoops just to hear my dads voice when they’re already NOT letting me see him OR his living space. This happens ,LITERALLY, EVERY SINGLE TIME I I try to get a hold of my dad. I call, They transfer me to the nurses station, I was on for for 30 minutes exactly before the phone hung up. I’m not the type to write reviews but this is that was the last straw. It really hurts my heart when my dad tells me that I forgot about him when I’m TRYING to get ahold of him but the nurses aren’t doing their part by helping ME from the inside with him since I’m not able to go back. All I ask is that you all put yourselves in our shoes. We can’t see our love ones, we can’t take them out, we can’t go back to see their rooms, now I can’t even get a hold of him just to have a conversation. Like I said before I feel like I shouldn’t have to go through all of this just to see, talk, and spend time with my dad.
