Staff does not communicate with other staff as shifts change. No instructions conveyed properly at all about specific requests from family members. They don't remember or care, or have the time to focus on those things. Some staff employees in housekeeping they hire are thieves. Stolen cash and clothes from my Dad's room in the past. Serious dementia residents will steal from other resident's rooms as well and not much is done to correct the issue. They won't allow residents to lock their room doors if they can't remember how to use a key, etc. No security cameras anywhere, these patients have 'rights'. My Dad can no longer have a TV in his room because a seriously demented resident regularly takes it, no matter what is done, rips the antenna off the window from the tape, etc. The staff find it, almost ALWAYS in the guy's room, hidden under his bed, so we KNOW it's him. I spend hours getting it set up again, and 2-3 days later he takes it again. This has happened now 4-5 times in the last 6 weeks. I have to keep his TV now stored at my home because management can't do their job and get the guy moved to a vacancy in the other building, or his family member will do nothing. He has anger issues too, so could possibly get violent. Nothing being done about that either by management or whoever handles his financial affairs, living arrangements or medication. The management will not give me the name of the actual facility OWNER either. Guess I'm not entitled to that information since my sister, not me, is our Dad's POA. My sister thinks the whole thing is no big deal.

If you care for your loved ones, don’t send them to the Vineyards. My father in law has dementia and they let him out without supervision, to take a walk. 4-1/2 hours later… he ended up in Palisade. Just imagine if he caught a ride with the wrong person! This is not the first time this has happened and family has been called to help come looking for him. No working cameras, no working alarm system, they are under new ownership and got rid of all the good caring staff that was there when we first put my father in law in their care.

All of the ladies working in this facility are unbelievably kind and caring. I can’t think of better people to look after loved ones.
