Too many turnovers with staff. I really enjoy getting to know the staff here and when one staff member leaves Oakridge for whatever reason. It has a tendency to affect us all. Plus a certain cook isn't as experienced in preparing meals as good as it should be. Just my personal thoughts on the matter. I also enjoy getting to know the residents around here. That is what a family community should be all about. Love, learn, and listen with a sensitive heart

I have an aunt who lives at Residence at Oakridge. She enjoys living there, participates in activities, and likes the staff. The staff members are always pleasant, kind, and helpful. We had one incident where a prescription was improperly filled out (by an outside doctor, not the staff), and both the director and the night nurse went above and beyond, working past midnight, to ensure that the prescription would be available should she need it in the wee hours of the morning when her initial dose (non-opioid pain meds) wore off. We appreciate knowing that she is happy and well-cared for.

My mother was a resident at Oakridge. I have to give the staff an A+++! They were amazing! Mom could not have gotten better care anywhere! These staff members, including the director Claudia, went out of their way to provide a positive stay for my mother. If there wasn't a driver to take mom to an appointment, then someone on the staff would take her! Claudia, even took mom to appointments when the driver was not available. I would not hesitate to recommend Oakridge to a person needing Assisted Living care.

I've been at Oakridge since July 2014. I had a major stroke before I moved there! So, I've grown up there, the residents and staff are my family!! It's my home!! It has its good days and bad days! The core staff is always there for you Through thick and thin!! The core staff truly cares for the residents and go above and beyond the call of duty!! Many of the core employees have been there longer than I have!! So, there dedication is beyond reproach!!

I've been associated with The Residence at Oakridge for the past five years. My adopted Mother and brother were residents. After my adopted mother passed, and my brother moved on to a more intensive care center, I have been pouring coffee four mornings a week and assisting residents with various tasks, from helping move furniture to installing shelves, and helping move boxes for various activities. Through my time interacting with most all of the residents, I have had the opportunity to observe both the staff and residents. Over the years I've heard complaints from some residents, but can honestly say that most are very minor, but always addressed none the less, and the majority are usually made by the same residents that are never satisfied by any amount of staff help. I have the utmost respect for the caring staff. Everyone from the administrator to the Medical staff to the maintenance people are top notch. The entire team has always showed respect for the residents and from what I've seen, are always doing their best to assist the residents with all of their needs. The Kitchen Lead has made a great effort to address any/all concerns that the residents have brought up while he has requested comments about the menu. As with any facility, not everything is perfect, but in my visits to many other facilities, I'd rank The Residence at Oakridge near the top of my list. Dean Gebhardt
