Renaissance Village Murrieta

I’d like to start by adding that they just got purchased by a new company, and that’s often in a bad sign. Companies will sell off their facilities to get a clean slate because they have too many citations from the county/state. I know, from looking them up in the past, that they had several citations. This is something you need to pay attention to when you shop for facilities. You can look it up on the state of California CDSS. I had an absolutely horrible experience here. I was there for a so-called Caregiver pamper day (seemed more like vendors, trying to sell themselves, wellquest as well). I had my service dog. When we were in the lobby, there was this other dog that immediately started trying to attack my dog. Luckily, the lady finally realized it pulled the leash to pull the dog back. But later, the woman was either not holding the leash while sitting or not tight enough, and when they had us walk to another part of the community, the dog was able to rush at my dog, and tried to attack her once again. I ended up having to scream at it to stop because it would not, putting myself between the two to protect mine who was hiding behind me (a well trained service dog; she wouldn’t hurt a fly). I ended up also taking my dogs pad, which she settles on, trying to push the dog away with it. This is not a moment when I was thinking but reacting. Someone eventually pulled the dog back, but it felt like a minute had passed in this extremely traumatic moment. I’m sure you can imagine….! When they pulled the dog away One of Wellquest staff members says to me, “Well you didn’t have to hit the dog in the nose.” what??!! no apology no oh my gosh no I’m so sorry. It was incredulous. First of all, I’m not thinking anything but to trying to protect my dog from this vicious dog, whom should NOT be allowed in “public” places, especially a place with there are other dogs if they’re going to attack dogs! It’s one thing if a dog has behavioral issues, but it’s another if it tries to attack other dogs! Honestly, hitting the dog in the nose would probably be a very good self-defense mechanism! (thinking how you hit sharks in the nose to protect you). I did not like this woman from the beginning. She gave off a very negative energy, and if that’s the kind of staff and policy that Place encourages, there is no way I’m ever coming back, let alone, allowing my Loved to move into such a place! I left in tears, and no one even followed up with me for an apology.

I recently toured Wellquest Murrieta with my mom, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Our tour was led by Cari, who was incredibly friendly, caring, and genuinely invested in helping us feel comfortable. She took her time answering all our questions and made sure we got a really thorough look at everything the community offers. The amenities were impressive—clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. From the welcoming common areas to the beautifully maintained outdoor spaces, everything felt warm and inviting. You can tell the staff puts a lot of care into creating a supportive environment for residents. Overall, the tour went wonderfully, and Cari’s kindness and professionalism made the whole experience even better. I left feeling confident that Wellquest Murrieta could be a great place for my mom.

Under the new management, this community is truly elevating the experiences for residents and families. The staff are warm, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome and supported. The apartments are beautiful—spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed—with stunning views of the golf course and large balconies. Most importantly, the residents are friendly and happy. There’s a strong sense of community, engagement, and comfort. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a caring place to call home.
