Had 2 family members that were there. If I could rate a negative stars rating I would. Don’t be deceived by the newness and beauty of the building and the sales people. One member was in memory care only to be left on her own not able to do for herself and isolated in her room unless they knew we were coming. The other member was upstairs and also isolated with her door closed so she wasn’t heard asking for help. Also witnessed another resident’s family member being told he could not enter the facility while his wife was calling him telling him she was very ill and needed help and no one on staff was helping her while he was standing at the door to have someone open for him. They said she was fine and he could not be allowed in to check on her because it was after hours. The commercials about chef prepared meals not true when my family members were there. They couldn’t keep staff in the kitchen so floor staff were preparing meals and some meals were unrecognizable. Our situation was they both needed safe places and care that we were not able to provide at home. We placed them there because we knew we needed help in caring for them. There is not a day that goes by that there is a profuse sense of regret for selecting Regency At Augusta to care for our family. But when there is a pandemic and no other facilities with available beds and this is being recommended by other health care providers and professionals you are hoping you’re making the right decisions.

Sad to have to say this . But it’s all about a business help. Very unhappy . Won’t get into details on why. Just know . No matter how good a place looks, it’s about the people who care for your loved one. This is the first time I posted a comment on a business. Iam not one who complains at all. I get that no one will care for your loved one like your self . In a lot of cases familys can’t stay home these days to care for a loved one. What I have witnessed is all these places are pretty much the same. I realize in the state we are in in our country. Help is very hard to find. Seems like all these places , just feed off the same pool of employees. They switch from place to place and most are not good or care enough about people who have had wonderful lives . At this stage of their lives it’s sad that compassion is not the number one priority. Money is! Iam writing my last check to the Regency after Iam done posting this. It breaks my heart that after what happened , I have to give them any money. But they are protected by loopholes. My heart breaks and I pray for all our seniors and their families. Being in this situation is horrible. For both Mother and her family.
