Exceptional Care, Independent Living, and a True Family Atmosphere! Moving a fiercely independent parent into assisted living is a profound transition, but one year ago, our family found an absolute blessing in Pelican Landing. From the moment we first walked through the doors, we were enveloped in warmth and knew we were making the right choice. While the entire facility is wonderful, there are three extraordinary individuals who have gone above and beyond to turn this major life change into an incredible new chapter for my 87-year-old mother: Thelma (Concierge): Thelma is the true face of Pelican Landing. From our very first step inside, her warm, genuine greeting made us feel like family. She has an amazing presence, and her kindness sets a beautiful tone for the entire building every single day. Christine (Activities Coordinator): Christine is a powerhouse of joy and connection. Every time we visit, we see her interacting with residents with the deep care and respect you'd give your own family. She is officially my mother’s favorite person! Christine puts together an incredible array of fun activities and trips, and she uniquely ensures the residents have massive input on their destinations, keeping them truly engaged. Keith (Environmental Services Director): Keith has from day one been such an asset. My mother is the type of person who likes to decorate, and Keith is always there to help her or my family with anything we need to make her space feel like home. Furthermore, we are in the facility quite often, and it is remarkable that we have never seen anything broken, out of order, or out of service. Because of Keith's incredible dedication, the entire building always appears to be 100% up and running flawlessly. The Bottom Line: These three phenomenal people have successfully transitioned a very independent woman living on her own into a thriving resident with an amazing support team. Thelma, Christine, and Keith haven't just done their jobs—they have truly become a part of our family.

I've worked in 100's of Senior Living communities for almost 30 years and during that time a few communities stand out and just feel like home, Pelican Landing is definitely one of those. When your making the tough decision on where to place a loved one or make that move yourself, you want to move to an environment that's not only clean and well maintained but more importantly warm, welcoming and caring. Top to bottom the systems and communication along with the staff at Pelican Landing they are great- they're friendly, happy, have positive attitudes, and are competent and accountable to their tasks. Unfortunately this is not the case at all Senior Living communities so when my father-in-law needed ALF placement my first recommendation was Pelican Landing.

Pelican Landing in Sebastian was truly a blessing for our family. From the moment we toured, we knew it was the right place for my grandma. The staff showed her so much love, compassion, and dignity from day one. The holiday parties were incredible. Toward the end, when hospice began, I spent a lot of time with her and saw staff come in just to say their goodbyes. It meant so much to know how much they genuinely cared about her. One night I stayed with her and the staff even brought me coffee at 2 a.m. and offered food — a small gesture that meant a lot during such a difficult time. We are forever grateful for the care they showed my grandma. If you’re considering an assisted living facility for a loved one, I highly recommend Pelican Landing.

Our mother Betty Wert moved to Pelican Landing yesterday and the process was seamless. Lynn, James, and the entire team welcomed her with a red carpet reception. We can’t say enough about the whole experience. We have already recommended this amazing community to several friends. We feel our mother will receive the best care and are confident that she right at home. She even got to play her favorite bingo game while we moved her in.

Response from the owner

Susan, Thank you for the positive review! Our goal is to exceed expectations and continue to earn and maintain your confidence! We will share your kind words with our team!
