Robert. ,you have been so helpful to me in my Search for a senior home . When I took the tour with you and my daughter, l knew Pohai Nani was where I wanted to spend the rest of my days. Since I. Have been here two months, you have been invaluable in coming to my aide technologically. You fixed my TV problem. And my phone. And you were always so gracious. Thank you.

People ask me why Beverly and I choose Pohai Nani for our retirement home. We made several visits to view the apartments. We noticed that everyone in the high rise had a view of the beautiful Ko'olau mountains. The grounds of the 6 acrer property were well maintained. The ground keeper's were very dedicated, as a mater of fact all the staff seemed to all be there to make your stay pleasant. Beverly and I have lived here for about three years and never regretted our decision to make Pohai Nani our home. The activities department is well staffed and always ready to help you get active and stay active.

I have used Pohai Nani's respite care services for my husband 3 times now and have been impressed and pleased each and every time. When I have to go on trips, I need to feel like my husband is somewhere safe and that he is being well taken cared for. Pohai Nani fills that bill. Rob Chin and his staff are attentive, professional, caring and compassionate. Because my husband is largely independent in his cares, he stays in a studio apartment with his own bathroom, kitchenette, television, couch and bed. He also has free use of a washer and dryer. He loves it. Due to his condition, he needs direction to get to meals and handling his medication. This is done with kindness and staff are always so helpful. The cost is very reasonable for what you get, and honestly how can you put a monetary value on peace of mind? I am so pleased with the respite care at Pohai Nani that I let the staff know as far ahead of time as I can hoping that I can always secure a spot for my husband. If you are looking for respite care for a loved one, consider Pohai Nani. I am sure you will just as pleased as I am.

My Mom has had several respite stays at Pohai Nani. When I pick her up, she always asks if she can return again next time. She enjoys the various activities that are offered such as exercise classes, cooking classes, arts & crafts, movie matinees and entertainment. She's also thankful for the beautiful mountain views from her room. Everyone there is very welcoming.

Our tour of Pohai Nani was conducted by Robert Ching. Robert was very knowledgeable and ready to provide additional information when we had questions. We could tell that he loved Pohai Nani and was proud to be associated with this retirement home. My husband and I were very impressed with the structure itself. It is designed to provide cross ventilation for each unit and every unit has a balcony which is glorious. We saw all the areas that would provide residents the opportunity to meet, socialize and participate in creative activities. Being a retired librarian, I fell in love with the library. It is not just a shelf placed in a nook; it is the real deal! I am looking forward to selecting books from this very impressive collection. I am even more excited to volunteer. That would bring me great joy. We filled out our application and hope to make our transition soon. We spoke to many residents and hope to connect with them in the future. The pool, walk in soaking tub and exercise areas are also very impressive. The acres of greenery and views are icing on the cake. I think you know that I can’t wait to move in.
