I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Paintbrush Assisted Living, on behalf of my family member and myself. The moment you enter the building you are treated with kindness, caring and personal attention. Each member of the team ensures that the experience is exceptional- everything is taken care of without any problem. My grandfather often says he is “ being treated like a king” talk about service. The care is excellent with a personal concern for the resident. All medical care and related services are provided on site. I would highly recommend Paintbrush Assisted Living for an elderly loved one. If grandpa is happy, we are all happy to see him living his best life here.

My friend lives here and the parties are always fun! The staff truly feels like family, and anytime help is needed—whether it’s care—related or something that needs fixing, it’s handled quickly! After spending time here, this is definitely a place I would consider for my own future.

Sadly I am writing this review 4 1/2 months after my mom passed away because the problem(s) we experienced at this assisted living facility are still ongoing. Families deserve the full picture. My mom was approved in May 2025 at the highest level of care requiring full assistance with daily grooming, tolieting and transferring every 2 hours. While the first couple months seemed acceptable serious care failures and leadership concerns followed. For the final 7 weeks of her life, I had to be present daily morning until bedtime monitoring care. She passed away Sept. 7th 2025. Staff were not trained in safe transfers, tolieting or mobility. I personally had to show staff how to care for my mom. She developed severe bruising from improper handling which stopped only after a specific staff member was terminated. Chronic understaffing was constant, one RA covering 2 floors and 1 med tech for all residents. NO RA knew or had read my mother's Care Plan, developed by staff. Despite repeated meetings with site leadership regarding better communication , nothing changed nor was there a desire to make better. It took an ombudsman meeting with site leadership to get her Care Plan posted in her room. Even then, unsafe practices continued including removing oxygen and attempting to use a walker when she was fully wheel chair bound. My mother was sitting in urine and feces for at least 6 hours, which was deeply traumatic. Food safety was also an issue-dietary restrictions ignored and pureed food requirement were ignored creating serious choking issues. Hines Hospice requested basic tolieting documentation to manage comfort and medications. The facility refused until the meeting with the ombudsman and me making a poster on door for RAs to check off as they left the room. There is so much more but word count restrictions do not allow for more. Everything shared here was personally witnessed, documented and reported to managing vice president at the time and owner. I should have spent my mother's final days simply loving her. Instead I became her caregiver inside this paid assisted living facility of over $6000.00 monthly. Please be very careful when considering this placement.

Before I was already going to leave a bad review of this place for the insane consistent price changes, however this goes much further than this. While leaving after visiting with my best friend to see her mother, I saw who I later found out was the Executive director being horrible and disrespectful to what I saw to be another employee I’ve never heard such awful words used in a professional setting. This was pure bullying as far as I could tell and I hope someone does something about her, or we will be moving my friends mother as our concern isn’t just for this employee but the patients as well.

Paintbrush Assisted Living & Memory Care has been an absolute blessing for our family, especially the memory care unit. As soon as we met Traci, the Memory Care Director, we knew our search was done and that we found a place where our dad would be in excellent hands and cared for like family. Reuben was incredible as well and made the onboarding process so smooth during an already difficult time. When we shared how important it was to have our dad moved before the holidays, their team went above and beyond to make it happen. Every visit since, they take the time to check in on us and give us updates on how he’s doing. It means so much to see how genuinely they get to know not only my dad, but all of us. There’s such a feeling of kindness and investment in every interaction. Memory care isn’t easy, and we know this journey only gets harder, but we feel so much comfort knowing that Traci and her team will be there to walk alongside us through it all. We are deeply grateful for the compassion, communication, and care they show every single day. Paintbrush deserves every one of these five stars.
