Our House Janesville Memory Care

My family and I came to tour a while back. And upon arrival we were greeted with hostility and witnessed a resident forcefully push another resident and slap her. The director was very short with us and gave a quick tour and hardly had answers to our questions. The care I also witnessed seemed sub par as well. Some residents were covered in food and others were just placed in front of the tv and left alone. I would not recommend a single soul to come to this facility. unless you wanna have your family member listen to someone screaming "HELP ME!" over and over.

We moved my mother in to Our House Memory Care in Janesville in January 2026 after she was previously at a “high end” memory care facility that horribly neglected her. The moment we stepped into Our House, my mother (and our entire family) immediately felt at home. Every single staff member truly goes the extra mile to make us all feel at home. Karen and Heather (admin) consistently communicate and send updates on how my mother is doing, even on a daily basis. There is no end to their compassion, communication and genuine kindness for our mom. Tonya, Activity Director, always has such amazing ideas for things to keep residents engaged and there are so many enrichment opportunities for our mom and other residents literally on a daily basis, and she does it all with such passion and enthusiasm it’s contagious. Everyone who works at Our House genuinely cares and loves our mom as much as we do. A special shout out to Bri and Saige as they both have a genuine gift for loving our mom, and wrapping up our family in their arms as they celebrate life with us. As quickly as dementia and aging can change, the directors and staff are willing to work with our family and hospice to come up with care plans that are not only helpful for our mom, but also go the extra mile to include our family in all decisions. The facility is beautiful, with amazing staff and activities. Truly, truly would never recommend anywhere else for our mom ❤️🤍

I love everything that the our house in Janesville is doing ! The activities are amazing, the staff are so welcoming and friendly! You can really tell they all care about the residents a lot!

I had a very positive experience at this facility; everyone was very welcoming when you walk in. The staff were kind and very patient. What stood out the most was how the staff were doing activities and they made such a good effort to include everyone. you can tell the resident are not only cared for but they are valued.

The staff is incredible! They really show how much they care in everything they do for their residents. Truly a family.
