Our House for Respite Inc.

I only give 5 stars because I cannot give 1,000 stars. Mrs. Verly and the House of Respite staff are the greatest. My husband and I have never been apart until his stay at the HOR. They took excellent care of my husband. They are the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!! They took special care of him. If you want your loved ones to be cared for and loved in a family environment, HOR is the place to take your loved ones.

My mom was a resident at Our House for Respite for a little over 2 years. To say that she received wonderful loving care is an understatement. Verly Polk and her son Hamah make the experience of having to put your loved one in someone else's care overwhelmingly beautiful. My family considers Our House for Respite an absolute gift from God. We could not have asked for better care and attention from the excellent staff. Mom suffered from dementia, and she also had physical limitations until her recent passing. The staff are supremely capable and patient. Always with a smile. Since they are a small residential type care giver, they were able to give Mom the attention she deserved, and we never doubted our decision to move Mom there from Alexandria. The owner & staff's care for my mom allowed me and my sisters to have a very strong "Peace of mind". Thank you Our House for Respite.

Our House for Respite was the most beautiful, caring and blessed home for our Mother, Louise, for the last 2 years of her life. Verly Polk, her son Hamah, and her staff gave her loving, compassionate care every single day. She was so well cared for and loved that our family knew that God had placed her there. There is no doubt that anyone's loved ones would receive the utmost support and excellent medical care at Our House! We love all of you and can't thank you enough for your love during our Mother's last days.

Our House for Respite is a true and tangible blessing. Every single person working there is a blessing and a God send. My grandmother was cared for in the most passionate and human way possible. They viewed her as their family member and cared for her as such. We felt so welcomed every time we visited her. I will forever be thankful for Our House for Respite. They deserve every blessing headed their way.
