My mother has been at Orchard of Athens since November 2024. It is a well run, clean, and professional facility. We looked at several other facilities, and none came close to Orchard. The staff are caring, and kind. The facility is bright, open, and inviting. The food overall is good, and abundant. Most importantly my mother feels at home here. We are very grateful that this facility is here in Athens.

I moved my father to the Orchard in September of 2024 from out of state. Having lived his entire life elsewhere, coupled with two forms of dementia, it was a challenge. This was made even more difficult in that while his mind was gone, he was still very mobile and didn't look like he should be living in a memory care unit. The first few months were quite a challenge as he frequently tried to leave and/or got rather frustrated by knowing he wasn't where he had been for the previous 76 years. However, the staff at the Orchard was incredibly loving, creative with ideas to get him engaged, thoughtful on how to communicate with him, and simply put, the best resource our family could have ever imagined. During his time there, as his illness changed, so did their level of care. They always met him where he was and were great communicators. I saw my Dad every day during his time in their facility (17 months) and, as such, got to know the team at the Orchard quite well. They weren't just putting on a good show when I was around, they truly cared about him. This was evident in daily interactions, calls, texts, and even being with me during his final hours as he passed peacefully in his room. My family is tremendously appreciative of the team at the Orchard and I'd highly recommend their facility for anyone who has a loved one in need of care.
