North Woods Village at Kalamazoo

As usual, Marches food was fantastic!!

North Woods Village of Kalamazoo is a great place for memory care. It is a beautiful facility with well equipped spacious rooms and they have top notch staff from the administration, nursing, food, maintenance and even volunteers. They work with residents individually as well as offering activities in groups, for example morning movement, bingo, balloon volleyball, or social hour and live music and sing-alongs. The staff that interact and work with residents are caring, calm and friendly as well as helpful to visitors. They offer wonderful food to meet the needs of residents and they have a super chef with a super staff. It’s always clean and looks bright and inviting. Everyone is helpful and caring here. When people say it “takes a village”, North Woods Village is the place to be. I am glad I found them.

Very clean, friendly and loving staff who really care about the residents, delicious food. We found while searching that when memory care units are tacked onto larger assisted living facilities, the memory care units are tiny and cramped, with small courtyards. Since North Woods Village is all memory care, the courtyard is big, and she can walk all around and not be restricted to a tiny space. This was really important for us.
