Our experience at Nazareth could not have been better. Our mom lived in Assisted Living for six weeks before it became apparent she needed Memory Care. They made the transition seamless and the care our mom received was exceptional. Everyone we worked with including direct care staff, nursing staff, dietary staff, management staff, and maintenance staff were eager to help and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend this facility.

I purposely have waited to post these comments until after my wife had become a resident at Nazareth for six months to ensure that what I was experiencing was true and valid. After taking up residence at her 1st facility, it did not take long for me to realize my mistake (thinking that if the facility was beautiful and the activities were varied and plentiful, it would automatically follow that the personal care would be exceptional). I gave the first facility 8 months to measure up to my expectations but started searching after 5 months when I realized that either my expectations were unreal or the facility did not measure up. My primary search criteria, after the initial experience, was to place Diane in a residence where "I could go home at night and be worry-free about the care she was receiving when I wasn’t there." I contacted the Sales Director and was very straightforward about my experience so far and what I was hoping to find. His reaction was, what else, “oh, you’ll find it here.” I told him that I didn’t want promises that he couldn’t keep and needed to be assured that Nazareth was the place to come. You’ll like him. He’s a straight shooter and someone that I have gone back to on several occasions to verify a concern. In the 6 months since we’ve been there, I have -not once- been concerned about my wife’s daily care. I’m there 5-days a week, for the most part, and witness the staff (CMTs and CNAs) interacting with the residents as if they were taking care of their own family members: laughing, joking, giving hugs when appropriate, anticipating resident’s needs and making sure that they are afforded the dignity that is their God-given right. I could go on-and-on about Nazareth as I have friends who live in independent living and, for a time, lived in skilled nursing as the end of life neared, and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience so far. Yes, there are things I would like to see: more activities in St. Joseph Manor, 1st floor Memory Care, to fill their day (but what is lacking in quantity is more than compensated for in quality) by the Activity Director, Jonathan, who has an abundance of energy and is so caring and concerned for the resident’s well-being and happiness. My wife doesn’t participate in many of the activities and events because of the progression of her Alzheimer’s but it still does my heart good to see the other residents enjoying their lives and the staff making it enjoyable for them.. Finally, a shout-out to the personnel at St. Joseph Manor Memory Care for providing the type of care that my wife deserves and that I can no longer provide for her. Joseph provided for Mary and Jesus at Nazareth and now Nazareth continues to provide that loving care to my wife and others as they continue on their journey.

My Aunt Rosemary lived at Nazareth Living Center for many years. Both the staff and those that call Nazareth home are wonderful people. I was not aware of the cost of the services, but felt that the meals being served were adequate. And the staff was very attentive and friendly.

Response from the owner

Thank you for your review. We are glad our staff's attentiveness and friendly care made a meaningful difference. Your kind words truly mean a lot to us.

My Mom was at Nazareth for rehab and then skilled nursing care. They were not equipped to deal with a dementia patient. She got horrible care, if at all. Sometimes she was in the same clothes 3 days in a row, so she was sleeping in her clothes! She would pull the cord to get help and no one would come for over an hour. Then they would say it wasn’t their job. She got Covid and RSV during the short time she was there. She lost over 30 pounds during that time. No one assisted her with meals if we weren’t there. She was supposed to get healthy shakes to gain weight back and did not get them unless we were there. It was very expensive with awful care. I was relieved to find a better facility that was actually cheaper.
