MUIRWOODS MEMORY CARE

There are 2 aspects of this facility, the care provided to the residents and the way the residents family is handled. As far as I can tell they do a very good job of providing compassionate and careful care for the residents. Dementia is a difficult condition to handle and the caregivers obviously know their business. The administrative, business and logistical aspects are a very different story. At one point they implemented a new laundry system which resulted in the immediate loss and mix up of every resident's clothing. When we moved my brother out nearly half of his clothes were missing and we had a number of items from other residents. They seem to have ongoing staff changes especially at the management level. The business and administrative director seem unwilling to return phone calls or emails and the front desk concierge appears to take detailed messages but they mostly never get delivered. Resident care is obviously paramount, but when the administrative issues manifest as missed communication and unanswered questions one has to wonder about how well the facility is actually being run.

My husband has been a resident at Muir Woods for 3 years. He receives very good care from the care staff but especially from his wonderful caregiver Jone T. Jone is very attentive and communicates all of my husbands needs to me. Grateful for his care.

Very nice place. I’ve been a private caregiver and regular visitor her for 2 years now. The caregivers are very attentive, kind and Wonderful with their residents. I’ve seen how they take care of the residents and they are very hands on. from the receptionist to the cooks, activities and caregivers. Wonderful teams and most of them have been here for years. Highly recommend it.

I would like to share my experience with Irma H. who works at this facility. When I see Irma would like to say that she always has a beautiful smile and very friendly, and nice attitude, when assisting me through the facility. Irma, has a positive and excellent customer service for the public and the staff in this facility. I have only met Irma, a few times, but it’s been a pleasant experience for me. We moved to MuirWoods memory care a little over 2 months ago. Like all places, there are challenges for memory care and often the emotional as well as physical hardship can make the confusion that accompanies memory loss and cognitive impairment so much harder. I am really pleased with all the staff I encounter. So much effort every day. As our family member's memory continues to weaken they are there to bolster. For privacy I wont list all the staff, but you know who you are and I will continue to thank you when we cross paths.
