I am POA for my friend with Memory Loss. It was a big decision finding a place for her. I am pleased with the attention she is getting there. The staff is consistent , patient and respectful. My friend thinks the staff is her family , which warms my heart. The residents are always clean and well cared for.

There are many good reasons this small, 12-resident place has a waiting list. When I was shopping for a memory care place for Mom, I found other places had policies that made life easier for the staff, rather than making life better for the residents. Morrison Manor is different. The caregivers there work hard to always put the residents and their families first. The food is quite good, too, which I think very important. Their administrator is knowledgeable and she's always been willing to go above and beyond to do anything that's needed, no matter what it is or when it's needed, for either a resident or family. Other places have a lot of rigid rules about things like meals and visitation, in contrast to the staff at Morrison Manor, who are flexible and accommodating. I have spent a lot of time there with Mom. I liked how everyone there interacted. It feels like a big family at Morrison Manor.

Over-promise Palace Long on promises and short on competence. We were promised suitable care for our elderly father and presented with numbers ensuring the presence of multiple staff members around the clock. Early in our father’s residency at Morrison Manor an employee mentioned to us that she was the sole staff member on the premises overnight. When a new hire arrived we were surprised to encounter a petrified looking current high school student who had forgotten to bring a mask to work. Our father fell at some point and sustained extreme bruising. The incident was not reported to us at any point. This fall led to our father’s death, at the age of seventy-seven, ten days later. As a bereaved son I caution you against being taken in by the glossy exterior of this for-profit venture. When we arrived we were told that one of the two owners was ever-present. Not a single time, however, did we encounter him. This business hires warm and sincerely caring individuals, with minimal qualifications. Especially if your loved one requires any manner of qualified care, please strike the Over-promise Palace from your list of considerations.

As a professional in the industry, I look for quality care markers when recommending a place for my clients. Morrison Manor and the Admin Team were great right from the beginning. My client was welcomed right away, they went over and above to help him get settled, and they continued to help him with some personal issues. I will be recommending them again for future clients.

We moved our 90+ year grandmother into the Manor earlier this year. After experience with a larger facility, this has been a real blessing. Their customized care, special attention, and communication with us is exceptional. They have handled this extremely difficult COVID time so well. We are so very fortunate to have found them. Our grandmother is happy and doing very well there.
