We recently moved our mother into RidgeGate and were so pleased with the staff and their assistance. From the time we started working with Sharon until the actual move-in process with Caitlin, the staff was supportive and always available when we had a question or concern. This is never an easy process and it was so comforting to know that RidgeGate has such a caring and dedicated staff, ready to help us and welcome our mother into her new home.

I think you guys really need to consider adequate parking for family members that come to visit. There’s no reason why there should be such limited spaces when the residents spend upwards of 8k a month… none of us should have to park across the street, especially when it’s snowing. The food is trash. For what these people pay, they should be eating 5 star meals everyday for every meal. Not to mention, the prices for a basic sandwich and 5 chips, wild! The nursing staff is wonderful, no complaints there. However, the children you have running the cafeteria, get some people who are professional and have graduated from high school please. They always seem so clueless and dopey. You guys should give better accommodations to your residents and their families that come to visit them. You guys are in one of Colorado’s most affluent places… no reason why you guys can’t do better with parking for family and food for residents.

It is hard to give a precise rating for MorningStar @ RidgeGate because our experience ranges from phenomenal to unbelievably poor. To make it fair, I’ll rate each experience individually: Move-in: Excellent! Clear communication, attentive and thorough. Crystal, our move in coordinator, could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Concierge staff: Amazing! They are all friendly, helpful and kind. Caregivers and nursing staff: Phenomenal! Many of them have become a second family for us. Food/nutrition: Great food. The head chef is incredibly friendly and most of the servers know the residents by name. The planned activities are awesome, and the building is clean and well kept. Administration: Awful. I am blown away at how disrespectful, and utterly unprofessional Ronda was with me this afternoon. I had two separate scheduled appointments for a care conference for my mom who needed significantly more help after surgery for a broken hip. I requested these meetings based off of the safety concerns that the rehabilitation center had for her. Both times, not one staff member showed up, nor did they contact me to let me know we would need to reschedule. I understand things happen, people get sick, ect...and a timely explanation would have been appreciated and well received. A few days after my mom’s return I had a planned palliative care meeting with a new doctor. During this planned appointment, I was told Ronda could meet with me. Unfortunately, the timing was not going to work as I am the POA for my mom, and leaving the meeting was not an option. I spoke with Ronda two hours later, just as our meeting was ending, and she proceeded to tell me I wasted two of her hours this afternoon, while she waited for me. How dare I attend to my mom and HER needs, above Ronda. She never acknowledged my frustration, offered an explanation or apology, nor did she show any interest in hearing what I had to say. My frustrations with the disorganization were met with a defensive, rude, arrogant attitude. It is very disheartening to see that kind of leadership in an environment where understanding and compassionate care for residents and their family members should be a top priority. I agree with the previous comment about needing a staff restructuring. It is confusing as to who is in charge of what, and when there is a communication breakdown the default is to blame family.

LOVE IT!! I brought my mom to Independent Living there almost a year ago. It’s always so clean and the staff are so kind. The chefs make amazing food and you feel like your at a restaurant with great service when you eat there. Everything is uplifting and each floor and section has a theme of artwork which is wonderful to see. The activities are great and I would say everyone I’ve met who lives there loves it too. My only complaint would be the parking for guests. There is not a lot of parking so I frequently have to park across the street in another parking lot. Otherwise it’s amazing to me! Classy and fun!

This place is first class all the way. The staff are all so helpful, friendly and professional. The Director, Marion goes above and beyond to accommodate every detail. My mother in law was instantly happy upon move-in. She had initially looked at Vi, but Vi won’t take you if you’re sick, and my mom has pancreatic cancer. Didn’t matter here at all. My mom made many friends in the first week and loves her new home! This place is absolutely beautiful inside with every amenity. The food is chef prepared, and the service perfection. We highly recommend MORNINGSTAR at Ridgegate!
