Meridian Meadows Assisted Living

My first interaction with the facility was a tour with Mike. It went well. He was respectful, courteous and addressed my concerns. The facility was new and well maintained it had what I was looking for as a rehab center for my father. Mike was honest and addressed my questions and concerns I felt in a very direct and honest manner. The case manager and other staff that work during the week very attentive. My concerns with the facility is that there does not seem to be anyone in charge over the weekends and communication between the different shifts is very much lacking and frustrating. This is a medical facility where residents are recovering and need extra support in recovering. My frustration is that the weekend staff especially did not seem to be knowledgeable about the needs of the patients. I also felt like they did not care as much. I know it’s a simple thing, but knowing who the person caring for you or your loved one matters. I addressed that the boards mentioning who the therapist, CNA‘s and nurses were never filled out that were in each room. Nothing ever changed when we went to be discharged the week staff took care of it and they informed me when I needed to have my dad picked up. I was trying to make arrangement to make sure everything was set for our next chapter and when I went to pick up my father, it was a mess. The parking was full. There was a delivery truck blocking the driveway as well as another vehicle dropping off a chair for a loved one. The staff had no idea that my father was being discharged, and he was not ready to go. We accidentally left things.that we will now have to get replaced and we did not end up with all of the medications and such that we needed. Again the weekend staff just rushed us through things, and I just felt like they didn’t care. Overall, the stay was good but, it just that communication piece that is missing. They need somebody there on the weekends to oversee things and to communicate a little better.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Mike Ashton, who coordinates admissions and patient transitions throughout the Treasure Valley at Meridian Meadows. Mike is professional, compassionate, and genuinely caring. He treats every resident and family with kindness and respect, and it’s clear he truly cares about the people he serves. I’ve also been very impressed by the entire team at Meridian Meadows. Everyone is welcoming, attentive, and committed to providing excellent care. The facility is exceptionally clean, well maintained, and has a warm, positive atmosphere that makes residents and visitors feel comfortable. Based on my experience, I would absolutely trust the team at Meridian Meadows to care for my own loved ones. Their dedication, professionalism, and compassionate approach make them an outstanding choice for senior care.

Meridian Meadows Assisted Living & Memory Care in Meridian, ID has been an incredible experience for our family.
