Meadow Brook has been a God-send for my family. My Dad (who has Alzheimer’s Dementia) was not getting the care he needed at his prior residence. So much so, that when the lovey folks at Meadow Brook stated he needed to be in Memory Care, I was shocked and honestly, not my best self. Mauree and her team were so patient with me, even when I was highly defensive and scared. Mauree and Megan truly care about their residents and do everything they can to be fair and equitable while also making it a special stay for your family. I owe a lot to them…and I’m so blessed and grateful they are in our lives.

My mother resided at Meadow Brook with the understanding that the staff would be able to assist her. As her health continued to decline, we felt my moms disease was progressing. It wasn’t until my mom had numerous meetings and was essentially kicked out that we realized how poor the care was. My mom needed immediate and urgent care provided by a hospital, placed in a rehab, and we found a new home. The speech, OT, and physical therapist were appalled at the lack of care provided by Meadow Brook. Once therapy began with the new home, my mom could sit up again, eat, walk, it was amazing. Meadow Brook didn’t do anything to help with this. The speech therapist would talk poorly about other patients and my mom to my family. The executive director only saw my mom as a number. My mom was a guaranteed paycheck, nothing more. If you at all care about your loved one, go somewhere else. If you want your loved one to die, this is the place for you.

Dear Kathrine, We loved having your mother with us. However, there are times when residents need more intensive care than we can provide in assisted living. In those circumstances, we recommend skilled nursing home care, as we did with your mother. She was never a number to us, but instead, a resident who was best served in another environment. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. My father was in the memory care unit and he received wonderful care during his time there. The people working there were so caring. We were truly blessed to have chosen Meadowbrook Senior Living for my father.
