A friend of mine was accepted there; I’m so sick of black owned businesses getting things just for the money. There are people with alcohol issues, drug issues, and mental health concerns issues that really need help. They’re being not allowed to leave or use the phone to find apartments or jobs, there is no wifi everyone is gathering basically in one little room to watch tv. A former worker that I know stated it isn’t clean, there are rodents and the beds are filthy. They do somewhat provide food but the clients in the house cannot have outside food or food brought to them that is hot. They are supposed to take them shopping on Fridays and Saturdays but from what I’m being told that isn’t true as well. I was told they talk to them like prisoners and when you don’t want to deal with the shannigans anymore they walk you out without a care in the world. Anytime you call they are very rude! So where is this funding going… where is the help for people that have these issues?

I was dumped there by Ascension and thought I would get detox and help.... What a joke I was told to sleep on a cot with 40 other guys, then was informed by the night manager the detox intake started around 7 so to lay down for 7 hours l still wasn't admitted because I had to wait for a nurse. I don't think they even have prorer medical staff l was having first stage alcoholic seizures and the desk girl was clueless and after all that because l had high blood pressure FROM MY WITHDRAWAL they called me a ambulance. Even after thatthen l waited so long for that l took a LYFT HOME THESE GUYS ARE A JOKE I COULD OF HAD A SEIZURE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP...... I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A JOKE OF A STAFF.... RUDE UN INFORMED I REALLY COULD OF GOT A SEIZURE THERE AND THE GIRL AT THE DESK SHOULD BE IN THE NEXT REMAKE OF CLUELESS...... Thank GOD I used Lyft and got to a safer place and the admitting nurses should loose their license ( IF THEY EVEN HAVE ONE )

I was a young man headed to a early grave, this program gave me a chance to start again. that was in 2013. Now this March 4th i will have 7 yrs clean, and i'm grateful for what this place did for me. If your looking for the ritz dont bother, but if your trying to find recovery and a new way to live this establishment might make all the difference.
