This facility is horrid! The staff spends more time smoking in the parking lot than caring for their elderly! They are extremely understaffed and if nurse mary is still there...she should be in prison! My father went from 135 pounds to 85 pounds because they would not feed him! When he was so weak from malnourishment they gave him "knock out" drugs to kill him faster! It took him 8 long horrific days to die without any food and water! This is called TORTURE! ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES was worthless when I asked for their help! I witnessed other elderly on the elevator that smelled like urine and their clothing was filthy! I was informed by other clients that one elderly woman had died in her room and they did not find her for 3 days! When I called 911 to help my father.. I was informed by ambulance personnel that "maplewood " was notorious for abuse of the elderly! If you love your parents then DO NOT go here!! It's still the most horrific thing I witnessed watching my father die before his time UPDATE: All the five star reviews below were written in two weeks period and obviously by employees! DO NOT BE FOOLED! SEE FOR YOURSELF...SPEND TIME THERE AFTER HOURS! UPDATE 8/27/2024! I looked at the reviews today and saw that a bunch of posts claiming how wonderful this place is all posted the same time! OBVIOUSLY these are from employees and folks who are trying to sell you a bunch of lies! I'm still traumatized at how HORRIBLE my dad's situation was! DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TORMENTED!
