Not a healthy good experience there. Especially Becky and her dad. Very toxic and emotionally brutal there. I only liked Claire, William and the couple who owned Mallon Place.

We have a family member who is staying there to help him meet his basic needs. The staff is very nice but has little or no experience. There has been several $100s of dollars of clothes purchased for our family member and he has none. The answer from the staff was, his name must not have been on them. The only shirt he has been able to hang onto has his name written across the back of it. This is degrading. They stated they have bags and bags of no name clothing in the basement that someone would have to go through to see if his clothes got put in there but there was no one available that day..So he would have to go another day without changing his clothes, this was the 4th day. On Sundays you will have a very hard time finding any staff at all but there are lines of residents standing at the office waiting for their cigarette that is handed out to them each hour. We were just notified that our family member has a doctors appointment on Wed, in the middle of the day and if we could not find a way to get him there then it would be cancelled. They receive $600.00 a month for his meals and his room he shares with another resident and it was suppose to include rides to and from his medical appointments unless they say they cant. Our family member has paranoid schizophrenia but when we were approached by a staff member and stated what we needed she replied with "how about a swift kick in the but" I appreciate a sense of humor but when dealing with someone who has a very serious mental illness, even jokingly threatening them with bodily harm is not appreciated or smart at all. Her being the one who was passing out medication, I assume she was a registered nurse and just the fact that she was not aware of her words being used with him was very disturbing. This is just a little bit of a couple days visiting randomly now and then, I can not imagine what goes on each day there. The residents are free to come and go from 6 am to 11 pm but for them to get anywhere that is a safe area they would need transportation. The building is in the middle of a very dangerous area, right down the street from the jail and court house.
