Amera Senior Living of Denham Springs

I needed a place for my dad after mom passed. We went toured the place yesterday and the staff helped us and educated us in making our decision. It’s a good place and we look forward in moving my dad into his new apartment.

Horrible place. Workers say that patients screaming to go to the bathroom is normal. Huge roll of carpet outside in the weather is used to recarpet rooms. Mold on ceilings. Food is horrible since the old cooks left. Workers spent their day playing on electric wheelchairs. Workers lie all the time about patients and the care they get. The workers are lazy and play on the phone. They never answer the phone. They let my father not shower for over a week. He had week of dirty laundry in the shower. They are supposed to clean but obviously they don't. If you aren't there every day, your family member will not be cared for.

Both of my parents (Herbert & Shirley Ballard) have been living in Maison de Fleur's Assisted Living facility in Denham Springs, LA since July 14th, 2018 since my dad's stroke. It took them about 2 months to get acclimated and feel like they were home. From that point, they both have been extremely happy and enjoy their living experience at Maison. They enjoy the staff, the outings, the planned activities, the entertainment & parties. As the adult child helping them through their elder years, it is encouraging to know they are being well taken care of and are happy. I highly recommend Maison for all of your Assisted Living needs for your family.
