My mom was one of the first residents when this facility opened several years ago. This was the third facility we tried in 4 years before settling at Magnolia. Although it was an hour and half drive to the facility, we felt she would get much better attention at a smaller facility than what we previously experienced. After multiple moves, several things became very apparent. No matter what facility you place your loved one in, it is imperative you continue to communicate with the facility staff/management on concerns as well as the positives regarding the care your loved one receives. Alesia (Sr. Med Tech) got to know my mom over the years and would contact me via text or call to provide updates when requested. (She was amazing). The facility ownership along with management would be at almost all events getting to know their residents and their families. This allowed us to get to know the people caring for mom on a more personal level. The other thing that became apparent- you will not find a perfect place for your loved one to live. Over the years that my mom was at Magnolia, there were occasional (normal) challenges that occurred with staff, food, medications, etc. but when I brought it up with the management, it appeared to be promptly handled. Once my mom was moved into memory care, it was as if Cheyenne, Melissa, Michelle, Brooke, Christy and rest of the team were taking care of their own grandmother during her brief stay. They were absolutely amazing and handled all of the residents with respect and dignity. My family could not have asked for more from this team until my mom's passing. Thank you Magnolia for taking care of my mom the past several years. Your efforts were always noticed and appreciated.

Steer as far away as possible from this horrid establishment! The nurse (Shay) many times I have been up there when residents have alcohol, me and my family have seen her pour some for herself; and before us leaving the facility she will be stumbling around. The marketing director is a very unkind human as well. Thankful my family member is out of this facility. I’ve heard all the stories about what this building has been through from employees that no longer work here due to unfair treatment from management! They lose many staff because they pick and choose which employees they like. One Medtech/Wannabe Manager, has given my family rude looks and I have heard them say not so very kind things! I would definitely look for a different facility when trying to find a place for a loved one!

Basing this review solely on interaction with the marketing director, as we never even got placement. She was all helpful until she told us we needed to get a 24/7 carer ontop of the care our mother was supposed to get while there. When we advised we could not afford a $3000 a week care ontop of their fees that stopped. She INFORMED the assisted living facility where our mother resides NOT US, that they would not accept her. She then ghosted us, even going so far as to block my phone and having staff screen calls and saying “oh, she’ll be in at 10…..Oh, she didn’t come in today” . I can’t even imagine what they’d do once they got you locked into contract if this is the type of unprofessional and rude behaviour is of their marketing director. Can’t wait to see what type of platitudes they offer to discuss this matter as this is nothing they can say about.
