I would never in a million years leave a loved one here. This is a completely corrupt nursing home. After paying for the Top-tier For my grandpa, the demanded an extra thousand a week to help staff their team. As he was put in hospice they couldn’t even be bothered to leave a glass of water for him, and insisted he wasn’t drinking. When my mom got to visit him they had the never to tell us we weren’t allowed any more visits, and then when we threw a fit they said fine but it had to be scheduled ahead of time. I get that it’s Covid, but not allowing a family to see their dying loved one is criminal. I didn’t even get to say goodbye and I’m not the only one. I could keep going with how bad this facility is but I’m so frustrated at this point I’m just leaving it at that.

Response from the owner

Hello Hope, Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns. Please know the entire living experience here at MacKenzie Place is a priority for all of us. We understand how difficult the state regulations for COVID-19 have been, especially in relation to hospice level care and what we are state-mandated to restrict by their guidelines. We do appreciate your feedback and will use it to help improve staff training, communication, and family experience. We take your comments very seriously and would like to speak with you about your frustrations and concerns, please contact me at your convenience. Thank you, Kirstyn Wilson General Manager

The staff here is so compassionate, and they really care about their residents. Alisha, katie and Gail in the nurses office are amazing! Not to mention the building is beautiful!
