If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I have Asbergers, a mild form of Autism. I’m capable of living on my own, but had to stay there for nine months until my parents and I could finally find a suitable place for me to live. I have seen it all and it’s awful. The staff never did their jobs, there were plenty of times when or if I decided to walk out of my room where the entire staff was smoking in the staff smoking area. We had elderly people living there. We weren’t allowed to go into the staff area, so if there was a problem or emergency, we’d have to wait until the staff were done, sometimes it’d Be a full 20 to 30 minuets. There was only one night staff that were there all night instead of at least two, leaving one staff to look after 35 residents. The weekend overnight staff would leave by midnight leaving the residents unattended until morning staff came. We were not allowed to call emergency services of needed. I’ve had things like clothes and money stolen from me and the staff did nothing about it. The manager did not do her job and allowed the staff to do whatever they wanted. I have watched a staff member bully a resident sitting in the dining area crocheting a blanket out of the seat she was in because “that was her seat”. I even had a staff member take her master key and walk in on me after I was changing just to give me my morning meds, after I politely told her I’d come out to get it when I was dressed. They don’t try to keep their residents safe, they hardly ever kept the main doors locked at night, and I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemies. The state seriously needs to shut this place down. No one should ever have to live like this.
