Residents smoke right outside your door even if you don't want your room smelling like smoke if you're a nonsmoker. This place would be so much better is this was not an issue.

Very good; great staff and good food, private rooms but shared bathroom and shower

So first impressions there are a bunch of elderly people sitting outside smoking where there are non-smoking signs. The stairs to the building are super dangerous and high. Not safe. The employees should enforce the no smoking rule because not all the residents smoke or enjoy filling their lungs with second hand smoke when they just want to sit outside and get some fresh air. Walking in the lighting is so bad and the hallways are very dark. The place needs to be spot cleaned and updated. Make the place feel more comfortable for the residents. Walking to the rooms, it is not bad that the residents can have their own room. That’s about the only part I liked about this place. The bathrooms are a community bathroom. I didn’t see a bathroom in the room. The food they served looked like microwave meals for college students and not the elderly. The food was very poor quality compared to what I have seen nursing homes serve residents. For instance they had microwave taquitos for lunch. No vegetables or anything that a healthy plate of food should look like. Are they trying to kill the residents by feeding them with this unhealthy food? They need to sweep the outer decks of the residents rooms of leaves and they have doors that are broken just sitting there outside the rooms. That is hazardous for the high fall risk people. You guys don’t want to get sued and the residents decks are not your storage. Make sure the building is safe and clean and feed the residents more healthy food. Also, don’t mess up their medications and pay close attention to them. Paint the rooms and decorate them or make this place feel more comfortable. Add better lighting to the building and monitor the non-smoking areas better. Get some plants or something to make this place more lively and not so depressing. Also, if you guys are charging people to live here at least make it more lively and less low quality.
