Legend at Mingo Road

I am a resident at Legend and this has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever made. The nurses go above and beyond for me to get me back and forth to therapy and Melody was great with the move-in process. It is such a great atmosphere and the staff ALL truly care I made the BEST decision to come here 😊

My wife, Beth, and I moved my Mother-in-law to Legend at Mingo Road in January 2026. She has memory and cognitive issues which make communication with her very difficult. The staff at Legend are so patient and kind to her. The transition to this level of care for my MIL has been difficult for my wife and me as well as my MIL but the staff helped with her transition so that it was extremely smooth and positive. Because my MIL’s care has been so good, it has calmed us knowing that she is living in a great environment. The inside of the building is beautifully decorated and has absolutely no “institutional” feel to it at all. The environment is friendly and their focus is on community building. My MIL would stay in her apartment 24 hours a day if she was left alone but the staff has persistently and gently nudged her to leave her apartment and helped her to participate in some of the many activities Legend has to offer. We have no second thoughts about choosing Legend At Mingo Road for my MIL’s new home. We are in the building quite often to check on Mom and we are always greeted with friendly, smiling faces. The people are quite accommodating, welcoming and are a pleasure to talk to. We highly recommend Legend At Mingo Road.

We recently moved my mom to Legend at Mingo Rd. The whole experience has been wonderful. I knew immediately after meeting with Melody that I wanted my mom to live here! She's only been here two days but I can honestly say I haven't met anyone there that isn't friendly and helpful. The food in the dining room is excellent and there are several choices of meals daily. There are a lot of activities for the residents and the entire facility is clean and spotless. So happy with our decision to move mom here!!

We moved my grandfather into his apartment in December 2025, and the experience has been wonderful. The layout of the community is thoughtfully designed, and the two courtyards are a great feature. They give residents a nice, peaceful outdoor space to enjoy. The dining room is also excellent. The food is consistently good, and the menu offers a wide variety, which makes it easy and enjoyable when family comes to visit and dine together. Melody in sales was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She made sure we found the right apartment for my grandfather and had everything ready right on time for move-in, which made a stressful transition much smoother. Schalloca, the Healthcare Director, is truly phenomenal. We had worked with her at another facility, and she is one of the main reasons we chose to come to Legends. She genuinely cares about both the residents and their families, and that compassion shows in everything she does. The rest of the staff has also been amazing; consistently caring, attentive, and accommodating. Even though my grandfather has only been here for a few months, they have already become like family to us. Their kindness, gentleness, and dedication go above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. We are so grateful to have found this community.
