Kingston touched my life with all the beautiful faces filled with joy, wisdom, and connection. Thank you for ALL the memorable moments that will stay with me...always.

I left my mom at Kingston memory care for a week of respite. Mom has dementia, but she's still quite present. When I picked mom up she was filthy, some of her clothing and medications had been stolen and when we got home, I found notes inside her shirt of all the things that happened while she was there. I reported all this to Peter Carter who told me "you got what you paid for." When you want to be robbed, go to Kingston. Kingston has no respect for people with dementia because "who's going to tell? who will believe them if they do?"

I have never posted a truly negative review online and it makes me sad to do so for Kingston’s memory care facility. I believe there are a number of compassionate, highly capable folks working in the memory care unit, but some aides hired to work overnight are simply cruel to elders and temperamentally unsuited to work with dementia patients. We had tried Kingston for respite care because they were one of the only facilities that had an open bed (hmmm, that should have told me something). My sense is that your loved one will be fine at Kingston if he or she is docile, unable to walk, and/or can be easily controlled. Others require too much attention for their limited staff and may be summarily dumped at the hospital or back at home. Nothing in their glossy sales brochures mentions how often they discharge elders and I doubt their sales person wants to discuss the topic. But vulnerable adults with dementia deserve so much better than this. And so do their families.

My mom moved here in March 2025. She loves the staff and all the attention she’s getting plus she’s made tons of friends since she’s been here! Win-win!

We have been very impressed with the care our mother has received. They provide many activities and opportunities for socializing, the nursing staff is very friendly and attentive, and the administrators are very responsive.
