Kempton of Jacksonville

Horrible experience with this place! They agreed to accept my Mom from the hospital after reviewing all her paperwork. Well on the day of admittance, after we already have her room set up with TV, pictures hung and her clothes put away…. She arrives in front of the facility entrance in an ambulance and they refuse to allow her entrance…. Without ever once looking at her or examining her!! They just turn her away… Then to top it off, one of the head nurses Diana, then proceeds to tell her distraught 78 year old husband and family, that she has Cancer and tumor blocking an organ…. All of which is completely untrue. All this only based off a conversation from the nurse at the hospital- who later denies this…. This is a nice looking facility, but the way in which we were treated was truly horrific. Find somewhere else ❤️

The staff at Kempton took extremely good care of my father during his stay in the memory care unit in 2023. Heather and Lay were especially caring and treated him with dignity and respect. We could not have asked for better care!

My mom was a resident there for almost a year before she passed recently. The nurses, CNAs, cafeteria staff, maintenance workers and Hospice Care providers were so attentive to my mom's needs. It made us feel wonderful to know she was loved and being cared for when we couldn't be there every single day. Thank you to the staff at Kempton for ALL you do! You are special people! 🙏😇

The Kempton has my highest review. I am an experienced registered nurse, and a nursing instructor in Onslow County... I have interacted with many assisted living facilities and The Kempton HANDS DOWN is of the highest caliber. Each staff member acts as a patient advocate and offers a welcoming approach to the community. This community is extremely clean and the food served exceeds expectations. I cannot make a higher recommendation for an assisted living facility within Onslow County. Beyond impressed with the professionalism and the homey feel The Kempton provides to every resident and family member.

Our family was only at Kempton of Jacksonville for a few days before our love one passed away, the care and attention we received while there was nothing less than amazing. Hospice nurse and Admin was so attentive and available to us when needed. We were very pleased.
