My dad was in Rehab for about 4 weeks. From minute 1 his call button would activate but no one would come until I went searching for a warm body. I was consistently told “we don’t do that here” when I asked for feeding assistance to any other topic. If my dad needed care & the call button was never answered, I would go in search of a warm body to assist him. Anyone I asked for assistance repeatedly told me “he is not my patient”. He was delivered there by end from Forsyth’s hospital. After 3 days he was never able to order his food. I had discussi, meetings & waged an all out war on the deflect, refusal of services, & inadequate care he received. I even had to take care of his wound care myself because they refused to provide the care specified by my dad’s wound specialist. If you love your family member, DO NOT leave them at Homestead Hills Regab. I had to climb mountains to get my dad fresh water. Which they would put on a tray table at the foot of his bed that he could not reach. A disabled gentleman sharing my dads room I also noticed they finally left him water but put it in the tray table at the end of his bed as well as his meals which he did not have the ability to reach. In July 4, my dad was given his breakfast, he then needed to go to the bathroom. He presses his call button repeatedly for 3 hours. No one came to check on him. I don’t live in Winston Salem, he had to call me. I then had to call the main number for homestead hills, get transferred to rehab where the phone rang for at least 20 times before it was answered with “HAPPY 4th”, not professional, never identified herself nor the location , I told her my dad had been pushing the call button for 3 hours with no response. So he was left sitting in excrement for hours I don’t know how this place has a 5 star rating, because my dad was treated dreadfully if at all. The RN’s liked to have social hours in the break room or at their desks & never left their precious computers. The only redeeming fact is the physical therapist were very nice & very good. U really think Ms Saundra needs to clean house on the staff at the rehab center and get people qualified to do to job. Any patient in that building is a patient if the entire staff. The statement that my dad didn’t ever seem to be anyone patient is very disturbing as well as the number of services they don’t provide vide for elderly patients with multiple limitations Run another way when you are told that homestead hills has a 5 star rating. It does not apply to the rehab center. On, and the device to have a bunch is workers come in & rip out sect Ions if drywall & replace drywall without taking safety precautions to prevent the toxic dust out if patients rooms, especially those on oxygen, whose machine are pu Clung us toxic particles of drywall dust & showing it into patients lungs. iSHA where were your inspectors. I red one review about Homstead Hills that said she would like to leave a rating of less than 1 star I totally agree with her. Run in the opposite direction from the place. They will promise the moon & you only get rock dust. They don’t even have a system to know who is coming in to see patients other than a note book then doesn’t have anymore. Pages in it. Tu patients there ca walk out anytime thy wont & no one would be the wisher. Please pray for the residents at this horrible place, for there is truly no one that cares. They was to stay in little groups chatting or playing video games. The firsyth county health department needs to visit this hole that the elderly are kept in. The residents there deserve help, care $ respect & immediate answer to their call bell. Your system for caring for people is non existent Please somebody do something to help these residents

If I could give 0 stars I would. My grandmother was in after a hip replacement. Went without a shower for 9 days. Was left in bowel Movement for an hour, after she had called out when I called up there the CNA’s have a terrible attitude saying “Get up, I’m not gonna help you up”. When I asked to see when the last time she was showered nursing staff said they lost the shower sheets to record when the last time she was showered. How do you know when people are being showered shift to shift if you’ve lost the shower sheets? She was urinating blood, nurses and nurse practitioner felt like there was no issue, then took her to the hospital, and had a severe kidney infection. Funny how hospital staff felt like that was a severe issue. Regina terrible Nurse. Ask 50 times for something to get done and still doesn’t do what’s being asked. I wouldn't put my dog in this place, let alone a loved one.
