Our family thoroughly researched assisted living residences for our elderly aunt, and we feel very fortunate to have found La Verne Manor. Our aunt loves her large private room, something that was beyond her limited budget at other places. Mike Tanada, the administrator, has been amazingly helpful since the very beginning. He prepared the room in a timely manner, gave us room dimensions in advance so that we could make furniture decisions, and communicated the residence policies to us in a professional manner. He is kind and compassionate to our aunt and the other residents and attentively sees to their comfort and safety. We appreciate the fact that Mike uses technology (text, email, and photos) to keep us informed and enable us to communicate regularly with him. He cheerfully goes the extra mile to make things easier for the out-of-town family members who manage our aunt’s affairs. He ensures that mail and supply packages are delivered to her room, helps her sign paperwork that we send her, and makes sure she is ready on time for doctor’s appointments. He has modified routines to accommodate our aunt’s many visitors and her unique personality and needs. We are very grateful to Mike Tanada and his staff for the excellent care they provide to our aunt at La Verne Manor.
