We couldn’t have asked for better care for our Mother than what we received at Homewood Williamsport. The facility was clean and comfortable, the meal options were plentiful and the staff were all top notch! The PT/OT team were supportive, encouraging and empathetic to her needs. There was not one area of dissatisfaction during her 19 day stay. The nursing staff were such a blessing and it was bittersweet to say “see ya later” to them. The encouragement and love that everyone provided was a big part of Moms continued recovery. A huge thank you to the entire staff at Homewood Williamsport. I hope you know how very special you all truly are!

I can not say enough about the care and love my mother was given from day one, Amanda and Megan the nurses on the rehab floor was awesome with my mom and always kepted me informed of any changes in condition, the facility was always very clean and smelled great. I would love for every nursing facility to have the care and respect that my mother received here. My mother has worked at this facility for many years and ended up needing rehab due to an illness, she would always greet each and every resident with a smile and love and understanding and always speak very highly of the employees who worked there, during her stay i got to see first hand in the special people she has talked about all these years, SO THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR LOVING MY MOM LIKE I DO!!!!!!

A wonderful, close-knit, and supportive community! The staff and residents clearly care about each other, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. There's always something to do — whether it's book clubs, card games, festivals, or other activities; there's truly something for everyone. The staff are both welcoming and accessible, consistently providing expert advice and support. My experience moving my loved one has been nothing but positive; I highly recommend this community for its individualized and personal care!

Even though I had a poor experience with Homewood I still feel Homewood is one of the best nursing homes in Hagerstown. Saying that I've taken care of Alot of people as a caregiver that have been in Homewoods care. I was visiting my friend whom I've cared for for 4 years she's only been there a couple days. Worker came in to check on friend and she had been up a couple hours I politely asked when meds are given and let her know one med has to be taken 12 hours hours apart. She left and brought meds back. Couple hours later checked on friend and she has special needs and noticed things needed changed, worker said it gets chaged tonight at 6 pm I let her know she gets very sore quickly really needed chaged she leaves. Soon a nurse and worker comes back I was reminded i dont touch patient ( which i haven't) they found supplies to make change but was unclear about how to use. I showed how to install they changed and left. Next I get a call from family I need to leave Homewood called family! Suggestions: have a meeting with workers/ staff/ family/ caregivers so people can meet talk about needs of patient introduce everyone, talk about expectations and understand needs of patient if equipment or special needs how to install so there is a clear understanding of patients needs. I offered help and wasn't rude but must have hurt someone's feelings about needing help to do their job. Need to work together for best of patients. Very disappointed with Homewood at this point.
