Hickory Village

The best care and love for my mother. Anyone who has been involved in caring for a loved one with dementia knows that every day sometimes every minute can be different and hard. My mother is thriving at this facility. I know it’s because of their consistent involvement and making every day the very best for her. What a blessing to know I get to see my mother and love on her without worry!

Not worth the stay.

My mom was a resident of Hickory Village Memory Care for over 3 years and I am so pleased with her care. She was treated with respect and dignity even though she had dementia and often struggled with day to day functions. She had friends to share coffee and conversation. She had a choice of daily activities and was encouraged to join. Special holidays and events were celebrated. Hickory ViIlage creates a home environment where residents can relax, enjoy and be themselves.

This place is absolutely nasty! The floors, wall, vents, furniture disgusting. The patients are not bathed on a regular basis. They walk around with soiled clothing. Barefoot on the nasty sticky floor. They do not get changed or teeth brushed. They do not keep up with the medication or even know what the time was it was last given to them. Thermometers do not work, per the CNA the batteries are kept locked in the admin office. We visited our loved one everyday. I pray that the other residents there have someone to advocate for them. There are a few good staff members like Jess, Romeo, Amber, Dalion, Amilyn, and Lillian. The others need to be replaced unless sitting upfront on their phone is what they are getting paid to do. They really need to be shut down for a deep clean and a management overhaul!
