Hearthside Senior Living of Bartlett

The Kitchen Supervisor has demonstrated a demeaning and dismissive attitude toward residents who express concerns about the meals. Several residents have indicated that they feel intimidated or discouraged from voicing complaints because of her responses. This environment inhibits open communication and is inconsistent with providing respectful, resident-centered care. In addition, the quality of the food and the temperatures at which meals are served are inconsistent. Residents have reported that meals are frequently served lukewarm or cold, and the overall quality and presentation of the food vary considerably from day to day. To better understand resident concerns and identify opportunities for improvement, the facility should conduct regular satisfaction surveys of both residents and their family members. The survey should evaluate meal quality, variety, taste, food temperature, presentation, portion sizes, availability of alternatives, and the professionalism and courtesy of dining staff. The survey results should be reviewed by management and used to implement measurable improvements to the dining program.

I’m so happy our mom has made her home at Hearthside in Bartlett. She has tons of activities to choose from, friends to enjoy meals with and staff that takes excellent are of her. I would highly recommend Hearthside Senior Living!!

Hearthside has been a great place for my Dad. They make sure he is taken care of and I feel very comfortable having him there.

Not always good food. Too many noodles and rice.
