I’ve had my father in Hartford Assisted Living for 9 months now and I can’t praise this facility enough. It’s always clean, staff is extraordinary and very professional, not just with the residents but with us visitors as well. Meals are cooked from scratch which is something rare nowadays and the owner goes above and beyond to make sure residents are happy and taken care of. I couldn’t be more happy with the choice I made, I can’t recommend them enough.

Not assisted living, more like assisted death. We transfered my grandmother there from a rehab facility, who was a vibrant, independent woman until a fall and hip injury. Within days, they were sedating and starving her to death treating her as a hospice patient. Saying it wad normal for someone dying to not want to eat. She wasn't dying naturally, she had no cognitive or physical ability to eat because of the heavy sedation. On top, to validate themselves, they would put stupid meals like ribs in her room, as if she was going to be able to eat them. Then act as of they made an effort to feed her by serving her such a meal. If it were a true "care" facility, there would have been greater care in trying to help her regain her health and strength. They also have some strange man working there administering drugs who I am pretty sure is not authorized to administer medications. Remember they were treating her as a hospice patient, counting her last days... we took her out of that death trap, took her off the sedatives, and started feeding her foods she can take down, and she's doing quite well right now several months later. Beware of this place and any care facility sedating your loved ones. They do this to make it easier for themselves to "care" for those individuals.
