River Glen of St. Charles

We recently visited River Glen assisted living facility. This facility exceeds expectations. The atmosphere was homey and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. It is obvious that they care deeply for the residents. Claudine went above and beyond to answer our questions and concerns and to put everyone at ease. The residents we met were friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves.

My husband and I met with Claudine and Jim and they were both welcoming and professional. They answered all of our questions about the development, thoroughly. We look forward to being part of the community!

River Glen has been a caring home for my mother-in-law and my mom. The caregivers there are attuned to the individual needs of the residents and strive to bring them happiness.

UPDATED POST June 2020 Never before have I felt so strongly about leaving a review. I've visited countless homes in the area through volunteerism and being with relatives, and I feel River Glen is the premier assisted living facility in the area and by far the best-kept secret in the Fox Valley. It is truly a hidden gem among all assisted living facilities and one you absolutely must visit. The excellent and professional care you'll find here from the dedicated staff members and the medical team is second to none. Amy Pedone and the rest of the quality staff members will move mountains to ensure your loved one feels right at home from the moment they move in. How do I know? Amy and fellow staffer, Vanessa, literally helped my husband and I move my dear friend Mary into River Glen last August during the pandemic. Without family around to help her move, Amy went above and beyond to deliver a comfortable and cozy apartment, even personally driving a truck to Mary's house and loading it full of her belongings. Not only was this an unbelievably kind gesture, due to Mary experiencing a sudden and unexpected injury, somehow Amy managed to get Mary moved in immediately...on a single day's notice! This outpouring of care and compassion has continued throughout Mary's entire residency at River Glen, with the ultimate goal to be an extension of her family. Amy and the entire staff have made it their mission to create a caring home where it is easy for residents like Mary to build connections, develop relationships, and be happy. This scaled-down, comfortable community in a picturesque setting delivers on all counts, including its amazing food! Through my friend, Mary, I personally have experienced tenderness and love from this entire River Glen staff. Like Mary, I am happy to say I've developed friendships here that will last a lifetime. ORIGINAL POST Sept. 2020 I helped move my elderly friend into assisted living at River Glen just two weeks ago as she was no longer able to live in her home alone. From the moment Amy and her exceptional staff knew of her needs she was cared for in a way I didn't know possible and the attention far exceeded all expectations. They have supported my friend in all ways including medical, emotional, social, and financial; even directly assisting her in making the move happen. Every interaction with River Glen has been loving, compassionate, and professional. Take it from my friend, the proud new River Glen resident, who has proclaimed, "I feel like I'm home.", "The food is marvelous", and "Everyone here radiates love." I could not be more positive about my experiences with River Glen and my friend feels the same way. This truly is an extraordinary place.

Amy Pedone at River Glen has been AWESOME for my family as we work with our aging father to move into an assisted living community. The staff is beyond friendly, the home is beautiful and clean, the activity options and the medical care options bring comfort. Seeing how well Dad would be taken care of upon moving into River Glen is comforting for his family as well. I remain hopeful Dad will join this community within the next few months as we are all confident his quality of life and happiness will immediately improve!!!
