Grand Brook Memory Care of Garland

There are really no words to fully express how grateful our family is for Grand Brook Memory Care of Richardson/North Garland. Watching my mother’s journey with Lewy body dementia has been heartbreaking. This disease has slowly taken away so many things we once took for granted, and finding the right place for her has been one of the hardest things our family has ever had to do. We tried two other memory care communities before Grand Brook, and as Mom’s needs changed, they simply could not provide the level of care and understanding she needed. Then we found Grand Brook — and everything changed. Our mother is thriving, and for the first time in a very long time, our family has hope again. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and well trained in dementia care, and they understand that caring for someone with Lewy body dementia requires patience, flexibility, compassion, and truly knowing the person behind the disease. What has touched us most is how quickly the management team responds when a challenge arises. They don’t just see a problem; they work together to find a solution. They listen to our concerns, communicate with us, and genuinely want Mom to have the best quality of life possible. And then there is the staff. You can see the love they have for the residents in the way they speak to them, care for them, laugh with them, and treat them with dignity. It doesn’t feel like people are simply doing a job. It feels like they truly care. After such a long and emotional journey, we finally have peace in our hearts. We no longer lie awake wondering if Mom is okay or whether she is getting the care she deserves. We know she is safe. We know she is loved. We know she is understood. Grand Brook has given our family something we feared we might never have again — hope and peace during an incredibly difficult chapter of our lives. We will forever be grateful to every person at Grand Brook who has helped Mom find her happiness and helped our family find ours again. ❤️
