The Gardens Care Homes - Thomas Park Assisted Living

Absolutely awful and unethical place! This company should be investigated. Don’t ever put your loved ones in the care of these people

This place raises medication doses on residents when they speak out or act up in order to sedate / pacify them. Overmedication is common in this industry, and they can get away with it. Absolutely illegal and intolerable.

You guys should try to work on treating your employees like human beings so that they stay and you wouldn’t be forced to bring in agency staff constantly who have no experience in memory care. You should also care more about the meals your patients are served instead of once again having medical agency staff that has not been trained in food safety come in and cook the meals. MOST reputable places require additional training before their staff is allowed to prepare meals and they do not allow agency to prep the meals. Also sitting patients in front of a tv literally all day is far from stimulating. The kitchen needs a actual deep cleaning including the microwave and ice maker because it was disgusting. There’s food stuck to all the appliances and counter tops from things being half cleaned. It was a very unsanitary environment to be cooking meals in.

My dad has been in this facility just a short time. This is all new to my family and me. However, the staff has been absolutely fabulous! A special shout out to Belinda and Fabian. They go over and above not only to care for Dad, but to make sure the family feels welcome any time, and we are in the know of what is going on. I am so glad we found this special home where we know Dad is safe and we can connect with him any time in any way. Thank you!

We have recently moved dad into The Gardens Care Thomas Park residence (9B) and while this has been an incredibly difficult and emotional decision for our family, we are all feeling comfort from the warmth and care and attention to our dad’s care and support. It breaks my heart that he is no longer able to be at home, but after the amazing first few days that included homemade chicken pot pies from Dericka (for our whole family) and Nikki’s gentle encouragement and reassurance and Madison’s attention to detail with my dad’s medicine, I feel grateful that there are people in the world that care like these wonderful people do. It is an immense and gut wrenching decision to trust someone else to lovingly care for a loved one and from what my family has experienced thus far, and I say this as a son that loves his dad more than I could ever put into words, I feel like we have made a great decision in choosing Gardens Care - Thomas Park. Thank you for taking care of a wonderful man, husband, dad, PopPop and friend of so many and truly caring about his care. It means the world to our family to know he’s in good hands.
