If I was able to give zero stars, I would. This facility and their staff is horrible. BUYER BE WARE! My father was in this facility for almost 5 months. During that time my family's experiance there was ...NOT GOOD. We were told that the complex was originally built for a juvenile unit, and it shows. The windows are not able to open and the bathrooms are for the most part commercial stools and sinks, NO Bidets. This can be a problem for elderly folks that need assistance. The food is very sub-par and they are constantly out of food that is posted on a daily menu in the cafeteira. They even "run-out" of eggs! I would not refer this facility to anyone. They are a rip-off for sure. They do not return families phone calls regarding residents. Need I say more? I hope not.

Both of my Parent's were at Collinwood. My Dad in Memory Care, and my Mom in Assisted Living. I would NOT recommend Collinwood. I could literally write a book on the horrible experiences I went thru, as well as my Parent's. It was a long & awful journey for all of us. I need to mention that I could have had a few lawsuits against their Memory Care facility, and won. I could go on & on, but trust me...look elsewhere! Their staff is not trained to deal with the elderly or memory care patients. They basically hire anyone that applies, and the turn-over in employees coming & going is incredibly high! Some of them are just 20 year old kids. Do you want these people taking care of your loved one's?

Bethesda was a wonderful company to work with. Collinwood is a very nice, clean facility with a beautiful building which really makes it feel like home to the residents. The food was always good and offered many options. The medical care was very thorough and they have a passion for caring for the residents. The staff there do their best to maintain a positive and safe environment. I would definitely refer them for my family members or friends who are in search of assisted living.

My dad has been at Collinwood for almost a month. I never thought I would find a place for him that I like this much! The staff is kind, warm and welcoming. They talk directly with my dad and show him thoughtful respect. The food is good & comes in the right portions. I’m thankful that my dad is comfortable and well taken care of.

If the resident is in good overall shape, Collinwood is probably a good place for them. The facility is beautiful, the food is decent (although a little like what kids eat), and there are activities to join. Unfortunately, I can not in good faith recommend Collinwood for residents needing extra attention/concern, as was the case for my family's experience. Do not expect notification if meds are missed or ordered changes are not fulfilled, even when this regularly results in issues for both the facility and for the family.
