Gables Assisted Living and Memory Care of Caldwell

The gables is such an amazing place everyone is just like family (residents and staff) it’s such a close community and everyone cares so much for everyone that lives here and works here

From the moment our family stepped into the Gables we could tell there was a difference in this facility! We toured several memory care facilities, this one is smaller, thus giving more personalized care to our father with dementia. The caregiving staff takes the time to make sure the residents needs are well cared for, and call to communicate details if his care. They give regular showers to residents, changing bedding and doing their laundry on a regular schedule. Beyond the basic care needs they understand each resident’s personal and emotional needs. The facility is clean and smells clean. We immediately noticed that each resident, even if not ambulatory, had an alert posture, showing that they weren’t just left unattended but obviously had regular interaction with staff. When dad declined with the aging process, they adjusted easily to his additional care needs. They worked well with hospice to ensure dad could stay at the facility he had called home for 2 1/2 years. It was so important during his last days to be in a place he knew, since change is so hard on memory care residents. They allowed the family round the clock access during his end of life care needs and brought snacks, drinks, and hugs during that difficult time. They are an amazing, caring facility that I highly recommend!
