Just moved my Mom in at the end of April. She is so happy with everything. The dining experience is amazing with so many daily choices. The activities are robust, especially the fitness options and the pool is her favorite. The management team and Executive Director, Rene Sanz, are very visible and available to everyone. The cleanliness of the building speaks volumes about the Housekeeping staff and maintenance was on top of the very few issues we had. You want your family member here for effortless, worry less living. It’s affordable after looking at many options and the quality of the amenities are outstanding. I give this community 10 stars!!!!!

When my grandma moved in about 7 years ago, this place was amazing. However, since then it has really gone downhill. They clean her apartment, but do such a questionable job that we hire an outside cleaner. Nothing gets repaired without multiple complaints and I find it difficult to get in touch with the manager (if you see this, please reach out. You have my number). For example, it took about two weeks to get her air conditioner repaired. In July. In Florida. I felt like there was insufficient recognition of the seriousness of that situation. During that time, her rent has roughly doubled. I feel that the company that owns it is taking advantage of how hard it is for elderly people to move and going on rent. The staff is lovely and the building looks nice, but the service leaves a lot to be desired, especially considering the price. Edit: I tried calling the corporate number you posted and got no response. You have my number and can call me. Also, after my grandmothers wading machine broke/dryer, it took weeks to get a new one. However, the one they brought is too big for the space and much too big for her to reach into either the washing drum or dryer.

This review is a tale of two sides. Five Star independent living and assisted living. My mother in law was living in the independent side for about 4 years and it was good, no problems. As she aged we needed to move her to the other side for more care. After we got to the assisted living, we were told she needed 24 hour care and we needed to hire an aid. Due to financial constraints because we were already paying about 6k a month, there was no way we could afford that. So we asked could we hire an aid for 6 hours a day and they said yes. So this was an additional $4,500 a month. After about a week my mother in law was unable to walk anymore due to a fall, they said that’s no problem, we can bring her food to her in bed, as it is in their policy to do so. Well they didn’t happen. Our aid said the food was consistently left by the door, and my wife saw it there for herself. On another note, my mother in law would call 15 to 20 times a day telling us how terrible the place is, how rough they were changing her, how lonely she was due to lack of attention, as they are supposed to stop in every 2 hours, and she would tell us they didn’t. She would also tell us she hated it there. There was one time my mother law was so upset, we called the facility to make sure they were giving her the anti anxiety medication the doctor prescribed as needed. The nurse never called back, so we tried again and the nurse never returned our call. So after 2 months we decided to move her out. As everyone knows moving anyone is a huge hassle, but after looking we found a place, and she is much happier now. But as we were moving out on the second to last day we were approached by there Director of Health and Wellness and it appeared she wanted some feedback as to why we were moving mom out. As my wife and her were discussing the reasons I added that “she hated it here, and she’ll probably hate it everywhere” because that is what we thought would happen, because she was SO unhappy at this stage in her life, luckily we were wrong about that cause as I said she’s much happier now. But as soon as I finished my comment their Director of Health and Wellness looked me in the eye and said “you’re a liar”. Now I had only met this woman one time and that was about a month before just to say hello, nice to meet you. In my wife and I’s lifetime we had never seen an employee of any business so unprofessional. This review is just to make you aware of these things that happened to us. We did get apologies from this woman’s superiors but never from her.

Response from the owner

Charles, thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. As the Executive Director I am truly sorry that your family’s experience in our assisted living neighborhood did not meet your expectations. What you described regarding communication, follow-through on care, and your interactions with our team are not in keeping with the standards we expect of our community. We strive for five-star service, and I regret that this was not reflected during your mother-in-law’s stay. Please know your comments will be reviewed closely with our team so we can learn from them and make improvements. I remain open to hearing any additional thoughts you may wish to share in the future, as your perspective is truly valued. Regards, Kim.
