First & Main of Commerce Township

Our family checked out several places as an assisted living residence for our mom. Avalon was instantly very impressive, and just felt like home to us and to our mom. It took a little while for her not want to be back at her house, that she had lived in independently for so many years. But once she did, she now tells us every day what a great decision it was for her to come to Avalon. The staff is very caring, and always greets her with a smile. They feel like family. I don’t want to dingle out individuals , but suffice it to say that she is well cared for — loved — by many. I would highly recommend Avalon.

The Avalon of Commerce Township is a fantastic place for seniors! They have multiple activities for both assisted living and memory care every single day! The residents are able to go on outings such as shopping and lunch. The staff is outgoing and helpful to all of the residents. Wonderful place

I had a wonderful experience touring Avalon of Commerce Township! The community is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. From the moment I walked in, I felt a sense of warmth and care that’s hard to find elsewhere. The tour was seamless and very informative. I was especially impressed by the staff—everyone was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about providing the best care and experience for residents. A special thank you to Executive Director Tashe Beard, who was truly exceptional. She was not only incredibly pleasant to speak with but also extremely thorough in answering all of my questions and making sure I felt informed and comfortable throughout the process. Her professionalism and genuine care really stood out. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home and is led by people who truly care, Avalon is the place to be!

The Avalon has been the perfect choice for my mom at this stage in her life. It’s reassuring to know that she can age in place. The staff has been accommodating and bending over backwards at times, to make sure all our needs and questions have been answered. Tashe, the director, is exceptional at her job and is reachable at any time. Bryan helped me move mom in quickly and painlessly. Felisha is mom‘s almost every single day nurse and knows all her needs inside and out. I can rest easy knowing she’s in good hands.

I can't share enough wonderful things about the Avalon. My father-in-law was so skeptical (his house was destroyed in the hurricane and he lost everything) to move to an assisted living facility, but at 94, he was needing more care than we were able to provide. Bryan, and the Avalon staff, were beyond accommodating. We asked every question to be asked, had delay after delay on our end, and they were nothing but responsive. My father-in-law LOVES it there. We stop by unannounced multiple times a week, and the care is remarkable.
