Encore at Avalon Park

This isn't the easiest thing to write, but I am writing this because the staff at Encore deserve to hear my thoughts, and you may want to as well. I wrote something here quite long...then came back and cut out a lot. You don't need all the details. If you're reading this, you know the story. A difficult road led to having to find a long term care facility. I have seen other facilities. My mother had developed Alzheimer's in 2018, and very shortly thereafter my father, now alone, also needed a care facility. I engaged in a search, and some of the facilities were heartbreaking. I was frightened by the thought of that being the only option. Long story short, my family was incredibly fortunate to find Encore at Avalon Park in December of 2018. It's a lovely environment. The key here is I was able to let my parents be together. Together in their own small apartment, enjoying their own place, eating good meals, had a routine and received all necessary care. They were happy together, and safe. And...the staff. My eyes are welling up as I write this...my God...what a blessing they have been. They LOVED my parents. My mother passed away (she was 91) in 2022. The amount of tears and grief by everyone who cared for her...the emotion was so...honest. And since then, they have cared for my father as if he were their own relative. Every time I have visited, I have seen their care first hand. From the Director Monica to the nurses and aids...everyone has been such a reassurance to me. It is June 2026. My father doesn't have a lot of time left. The care and emotion is very evident. I feel blessed to have been able to provide this final gift to them...a nurturing environment that cared. What else could I have asked for? Thank you...all of you. More than I can ever say. Encore at Avalon Park has been wonderful to work with. The facility itself is bright, cheerful, clean, and secure. They have treated my mom, who is in the Memory Care Unit, with dignity and respect and have addressed any concerns that I have had. The staff is friendly and caring. Food is good. Courtyard is beautiful. Smaller facility that has a great patient/resident ratio. I am very thankful my mom is a resident here. I want to express my gratitude to Melissa Russell for listening carefully to my concerns and helping me make the decision to put my mom at Encore at Avalon Park less stressful.

I had the pleasure of working with Melissa for my mom’s admission. Melissa is very patient and caring. I found it easy to talk with her about my concerns related to my mom’s care. My mom has some special health care needs that not all facilities are able to accommodate. With Melissa’s guidance, I was able to make the decision for move-in to Encore’s memory care unit. Of course, this is never an easy decision to have to make and there is always stress involved. Melissa made sure the process went as smoothly as possible. I was able to set up mom’s room with some of her furniture from home and decorate it nicely prior to her move in. I visit often and all of the staff have been very nice, supportive and caring to residents and family. Melissa and Encore are a shining light during a very stressful time!

I want to thank Mellisa Russell for the extra attention to details and for making the process of admission for my Aunt simple and treat us like family thank you very much i will definitely recommend this place to friends and family
