Encanto Living

I would have given Encanto Living more than 5 stars if the option was available. My sister and brother-in-law had been searching for over a year for a new place for my 100-year-old father to live after experiencing inconsistent and erratic care at his previous residence. We feel incredibly fortunate that Encanto Living opened at just the right time. The facility is brand new, thoughtfully designed, and fully ADA compliant. It is clear that the owners put a great deal of care and planning into every detail. The owners and caregivers are truly wonderful people—thoughtful, compassionate, and genuinely sincere. Every time I visit, I can see how much they care about the residents and how much they enjoy what they do. Most importantly, my dad is happy. Every time I visit, he has a big smile on his face—even when he's napping. The staff does an excellent job keeping residents engaged with activities such as exercise classes, games, cooking and baking projects, and holiday celebrations. My father has also been enjoying the meals and has even gained a little weight, which has been wonderful to see. Before finding Encanto Living, my brother and I felt the need to regularly travel to Ventura to give my sister and brother-in-law a break, because we weren't comfortable leaving our dad without a family member nearby. Now, for the first time in a long while, my sister and brother-in-law can truly enjoy their retirement and take vacations without constantly worrying about his well-being. Encanto Living has given our family tremendous peace of mind, and we are deeply grateful for the care, kindness, and dignity they provide every day.

Hello! First off, I am beyond thankful to Encanto and the magical place they created. My Dad really didn’t want to leave his home but we realized that it was not safe for him to live alone as he needed more care. Our Dad is very specific about his food and what he likes to watch on TV etc. this place was perfect. I was there one day at lunch visiting my Dad and they brought him a hot dog and my Dad says “I like them burnt they taste better” Well from that day forward he gets his hot dogs how he likes them…burnt. My amazing brother and sister-in-law went visit multiple board and care places for Dad. They quickly realized when they walked in Encanto this was something really special. He called and we discussed the options (no comparison at all to Encanto) and when he mentioned Dad would have his own room and bathroom I was sold. I wanted my dad to feel safe and proud of where he was living and he sure does! I wanted to share my first experience walking into Encanto to see my Dad. My first thought was “if I could redo my house this is exactly what I would want it to look like”. The house was beyond gorgeous, smelled amazing , the beautiful backyard and the smiles from the care team was like no other. These are people who truly care about my Dad and us. They have amazing activities music, celebrate holidays have Arts and Crafts days etc. I also wanted to share the other residents families often visit so it’s nice to meet/see them as well. This was a very difficult decision to place Dad here but not one regret and we feel so blessed we found Encanto for my Dad and us. They treat him like a king and they really do feel like family! It’s a pleasure to see Yeny, Miriam, Ruben Sr., Ruben Jr. and of course can’t forget Martha and the whole Encanto team. Thank you so much to everyone at Encanto. Walking in the house feels like walking into your favorite relatives house. What a blessing and relief that my Dad is safe, respected, well taken care of and loved. What more could a daughter want for her Dad? Encanto is a place we should all be lucky to live in💕

Every family's journey to the realization that their loved one needs more care than they can provide is both unique and similar. My father's fierce independence collided with the need for more care following a series of falls at his home. In consult with his doctors our family began searching for a home that would provide 24/7 the care he required while maintaining a caring homestyle feeling. We toured many larger assisted living communities and smaller six (6) bedroom board and care options. The only one that immediately felt right was Encanto Living. Said plainly, the home felt like a home. It had recently undergone a full down to the studs remodel and landscaping with purpose built deign. While the decision to move our father was difficult, Encanto Living made this as smooth as could be expected. How fortunate we were to decide upon Encanto did not truly come into focus until my father settled in over the next few weeks. The Encanto caregivers and ownership went out of their way to accommodate my father's picky diet, provide the TV viewing he prefers and ensured that he spent time outside in their beautiful patio, gazebo and new landscaping. As if this were not enough, the Encanto team continues to raise the bar. They decorate the house with each holiday and organize events for both residents and their families. This includes painting classes, therapy dog visits and guitar in the garden. None of their actions and efforts feel forced. They are gracious and loving during every interaction. Our family along with the medical staff that visit my father, firmly believe that Encanto is establishing a new level of what is possible for a 24/7 six bedroom board and care home. The best affirmation of this came from the one that counts most, my father. He recently said that while he never thought that he would leave his own home, he couldn’t be in a better place because he feels cared for and safe. What more needs to be said….other than THANK YOU Encanto Living staff and ownership. You are a gift to our family.

We're so happy we found Encanto Living.The whole journey of finding the right board and care for a loved one seemed impossible. Our 100 year old Dad was the first resident..He moved in right before Christmas and has thrived. Knowing he is well taken care of has allowed us to relax more. Owners Yeny and Miriam have created something special. The whole caregiver crew has been wonderful. Thank you Encanto Living..

I wouldn’t choose anywhere else to care for my dad. The home is beautifully renovated for various care needs, comfort of residents and their guests, and kept super clean. The Encanto staff provide the best quality care with good humor, patience, and teamwork. They make it feel like a home; and it is. It is so hard to trust others to take care of your loved one, but after meeting the staff and visiting the home, I felt really good about this decision. Not a single regret or worry. All of the visiting families and friends are made to feel at home and comfortable to visit. The monthly events have been so fun and with great music, food and laughter. Encanto is truly a special place.
