Desert Peaks Assisted Living and Memory Care

Before I brought my Mom and Dad in to Desert Peaks assisted living for a tour they were skeptical saying they didn't think they would go. But From the first tour they could see how it would fit their needs and even wishes to attain more mobility both being in wheelchairs (due to broken leg, advanced age). The director was able to solve all our problems of logistics and payments. After a full month they're more and more contented at Desert Peaks which is an answer to prayer.

I can't express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional care my uncle has received at Desert Peaks. The staff are not only professional and knowledgeable, but they genuinely care about the residents. They provide a safe, loving environment for those with memory challenges. My uncle has been a resident for several months, and it’s been a relief to that he is taken care of and I have comfort in knowing he is safe. Although he doesn't participate in the activities offered, Desert Peaks has many different activities designed to meet specific needs of their residents. The facility itself is clean and well maintained. I appreciate the frequent updates I receive about his well-being, and I always feel welcome to call or visit whenever I need to. I highly recommend Desert Peaks to any family seeking high-quality memory care.

My wife spent two years at Desert Peaks. Starting in assisted living and then moving to memory care as her Alzheimer’s progressed. Anyone that has been with a Dementia patient knows the struggles with modes, paranoia and anger are often a continuous process. My wife struggled with these and more. When we moved her into Desert Peaks it was time. She was an escape artist along with her other issues. It took a couple weeks for her to settle in to the routine but from the time she arrived at Desert Peaks my worry for her lessened. The staff were able to help her 24/7 in so many ways that I could not handle at home. Every time I visited I always found her in excellent condition. I was always informed if she had a medical problem. They were very helpful when she needed to be moved to hospice care. So in summary we had 50 years together but when I needed help and she was struggling Desert Peaks was there for both of us. I’m very thankful for everything Desert Peaks was able to do for our family. Thanks Norm

when my brother-in-law Sal was at Desert Peaks, you gave him excellent care.. the staff was very nice, caring, and helpful.. the facility was so clean and modern.. the food was really good as we were invited to share a meal with him a few times.. thank you for taking such good care of Sal

Desert Peaks Assisted Living and Memory Care is an absolutely wonderful and well maintained facility with extremely professional personnel. My sister Eliana entered the facility back in 2022. She was a Pediatric Oncology Nurse and devoted her life to children with cancer. She was never married. She was diagnosed with Late Onset Alzheimer's disease. She was placed originally at the Assisted Living area of the complex but within a month, she was transferred to the Memory Care section. She needed more constant care. Every single employee there was very professional and cared for her with much respect, dignity and love. I used to tell them they were my angels. They did not give her special care but they care well not only for her but the other residents. Even though I am in El Paso, Texas which is about an hour away, they kept me abreast of any needs or conditions she required. I used to go visit her every Sunday or anytime they needed my help. I was not very fond of the outside medical support since they were never promptly when she needed medical care. The Administrative Staff of Desert Peaks were outstanding in each and every way. Eli, as we used to call her, passed away in February of this year 2024. Few weeks before, I was advised by the administration to place her under Hospice and it was the best decision I could have ever made. The combination of care between the Desert Peaks and Gentiva Hospice service made the end of her life peaceful and rewarding. I will always have Desert Peaks and all its members in my heart. Eli was a very kind and loving individual and I do not believe she could have been in a better place. I love you guys very much with all my heart! Five Stars are not enough to grade you. You deserve a lot more!
