I was so impressed with the room that my mom was in at the Cottage Inn. It was roomy and had a nice view of the outside. I so appreciated how each caregiver was so gentle, kind and loving with my mom. They wanted her needs to be met and her to be happy. When I was trying to process all that was happening with my mom, the staff listened to me, comforted my fears and they supported me by encouraging me. I appreciated their giving me guidance especially during the last few days of my mom’s life. I would highly recommend the Cottage Inn as a wonderful place for your loved one.

The staff and administration of Cottage Inn were fantastic! My mom spent her last days there and everyone was so considerate and attentive. I really appreciated the warmth and care they gave to my mom and the rest of the residents.

I can finally breathe a sigh of relief. After a few months time at a beautiful large facility in their small 15 resident memory care unit my father fell and suffered 2 fractures of his shoulder. They just didn’t have the staff to care for him. I took him home and started looking for a small memory care home for him. It took 10 months to finally find Cottage Inn, that is part of Ventura County Senior Care. The staff is loving and caring. The home is cozy and clean.

We were very fortunate when The Cottage Inn located in Ventura, CA, had a room available for temporary respite care for my 98 year old mother. Tucked away in a serene, tranquil neighborhood, the experienced staff provided individualized attention supporting the residents' needs, demonstrating respectful, caring, patient, and encouraging manners. The way the care providers interacted both with the residents and with one another made this a welcoming and safe place. Family and friends were welcome to visit residents too. The staff adhered to strict medication management procedures and operated in accordance with federal, state, and county rules for elder care facilities, including cleanliness standards. There was a shared learning curve around diabetes management and diabetic-friendly food options related to my mother's care, and the staff embraced the learning opportunity. It was easy to communicate with The Cottage Inn owner/manager when questions or concerns arose, and issues were addressed promptly. We were grateful for this small, quiet gem of a place that offers a home-like environment.
