While I came and visited here, The staff were very hard-working, friendly, and helpful. They always treated the residents with kindness and respect, and they are willing to go the extra mile to help. Overall, it is a caring and welcoming environment.

If you are considering placing a loved one at Copper Trace, I strongly encourage you to do extensive research and ask detailed questions about staffing and care before making a decision. In my experience, the facility appears to prioritize revenue over resident care. Rather than being transparent when a resident’s needs exceed what can reasonably be provided in an assisted living setting, families may be encouraged to pay for higher levels of care without corresponding increases in staffing or support. This can result in families paying thousands more each month while their loved ones still do not receive the level of attention they require. Staffing levels are consistently concerning. It is not uncommon to see only a handful of caregivers responsible for dozens of residents, many of whom require extensive assistance with mobility, toileting, bathing, and other daily needs. As a result, residents may experience significant delays when requesting assistance simply because staff are stretched beyond reasonable limits. Caregivers are expected to perform an overwhelming number of duties, including direct resident care, housekeeping tasks, meal service, and other responsibilities. The workload placed on frontline staff makes it nearly impossible to consistently provide timely, quality care to every resident. The dining experience is also disappointing. Meals often do not match what is advertised on menus, substitutions are frequent, and room-service orders may arrive incomplete despite additional charges. Meanwhile, staff shortages in dietary services often require caregiving staff to assist with meal service instead of focusing on resident needs. Another major concern is turnover. The facility appears to experience frequent staffing and leadership changes, making continuity of care difficult. When employees and managers are constantly changing, communication suffers, mistakes become more likely, and important details can fall through the cracks. The building itself is attractive and well-located, but appearances can be misleading. Families should look beyond the new construction and amenities and carefully evaluate whether the facility has the staffing, leadership, and resources necessary to provide safe, consistent care for their loved ones.
