Great atmosphere

The Clarendale family has been a blessing for my 91 year old father who is in assisted living. Patricia and her team take excellent care of him so he can enjoy all his favorite social activities.

My parents have lived at Clarendale for several months now. They seem so happy to be there! They’re able to be more active than when they were in their own home. They like getting together with their friends for dinner, happy hours with music in the pub, & enjoy movies in the theater. My Dad looks forward to the weekly poker games. Mom enjoys singing in the choir, playing bingo, & doing arts & crafts. Love that Clarendale offers a variety of activities, transportation, day trips & even volunteer opportunities to residents. I appreciate the app they use to keep not only the residents up to date, but family members who want to download it. I'm able to review events, menus, & announcements. It’s also easy access to general information about Clarendale's various departments, clubs, contact information, etc. Checking it each day gives me the chance to mention a fun activity, event, or movie to my parents. Clarendale co-workers, directors & managers are wonderful!! They commonly greet residents by name & with a smile, kind word or conversation. They go out of their way to be helpful, both for my parents & to me if I have a question or concern. They get to know the residents’ likes, preferences, & interests. They enjoy hearing about each other’s families. The community is always well maintained, clean & stylish. Everything seems so well run. Co-workers help one another, as well as residents. I think a great team has been formed at Clarendale. We have had a wonderful experience from the initial tour to now—all professional & genuinely caring so far. This is why we have already recommended Clarendale St. Peters to others. If you are considering independent living for your loved one, you will want to schedule an appointment for a tour to see it for yourself. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! We are appreciative for everyone’s hard work & dedication to the residents & families! Thank you so much for all you do! UPDATE 2026: My Dad has happily lived in an independent apartment at Clarendale since he & Mom moved there in 2022. When he tells others about living there, he always says, “It’s like living at a resort. You can do as much or as little as you want. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy.” His personal favorite is playing nickel & dime poker 3 times a week. He also enjoys the Tuesday entertainment & Friday happy hours. He’s made friends at Clarendale with other residents, their families, & of course, with the friendly & caring Clarendale staff. It warms my heart to be out & about with him within the community & to hear his friends & the coworkers greet him by name & ask how he’s doing. Clarendale leaders & coworkers are very helpful to Dad & to our family. They will make themselves available for any questions or with anything you might need. There’s always a smiling “hello” when you see them. Clarendale has been wonderful to our family. We’re there several times a week & we see how this is truly a “community.” Not only does the staff watch out for our independent loved one, but the residents watch out for one another as well. If Dad happens to be late getting to poker or to dinner, it’s not unusual for one of his friends to call him to check on him. It’s wonderful to see the friendships that develop there. If you’re considering Clarendale, I recommend you take the tour. Speak with residents when you see them on the elevator or as you’re walking on the tour; ask them how they like living there. Our family did 4 years ago & we’re still happy we did!
