The facility is lovely and the staff like Tiffany, are wonderful as are all the many and varied activities the resident have access to. BUT food service and dining room is a huge problem! They really need to invest in good help for the dining room. It is bad sevice, slow and constantly getting worse. Residents wait and wait for service. They are sitting for breakfast at 730 and no one waits on them for at least 20 min. Residents that are capable serve coffee and tea to others. Slow service! Cold food. Lazy wait staff and kitchen help. Kitchen is not cleaned up properly when service is done and the next meal is delayed cause no prep has been done. It is sad to see residents waiting and waiting and then get lack luster service and cold food. For this reason alone i would not recommend this facility. Food is such an important part of these seniorsnday to day and when you are relying on being fed 3 times a day... it becomes the top priority!! Just found out there has been no internet for residents for many weeks. AND they just raised their fees for residents significantly. Hundreds more per month. I hope that means they will pay staff more and get some good servers in the dining room because they are only paying 13 per hr!! Come on! You are making lots of $$$ owners. How about investing some of that in the care and comfort of residents whonare providing all that $$$$ to you. Or did the owners just get a bigger paycheck????!

The Claiborne was home to my Mom for the last several years, from the day they opened their doors until her recent passing. I cannot say enough about this facility, and all that they have to offer. Aside from the beautiful, clean physical facility, the staff there is amazing! We met Teresa Hamlett and Wren Metts long before the doors opened, and both are considered part of our family now. Truly caring people that not only love the residents, but go above and beyond to help in any way they can. The services we received from S.C. House Calls was outstanding, and they are surely an asset to have on site. There are so many other staff that we grew to know and love, from management staff and the maintenance crew, to the dining room staff, floor staff and volunteers. And who could forget Tiffany Q….who kept a smile on everyone’s face with her caring and energetic personality. Know that every one of you made a difference in Mom’s life, and also ours!
