When we started looking for senior living for my in-laws, we toured a lot of communities. They all had beautiful brochures and nice amenities, but Ciela was the one that kept pulling us back. The first thing that mattered to us was safety. Learning how the team cared for residents during the Palisades fire—and that everyone made it through safely because of the staff’s preparation and dedication—gave us a level of confidence we couldn’t ignore. The second thing was the atmosphere. Every time we walked through the doors, it just felt… peaceful. It’s elegant without feeling stuffy, active without feeling chaotic. It has a calm, resort-like vibe where people seem genuinely comfortable and happy. What really sealed it for us, though, was the staff. Once my mother-in-law and father-in-law moved in, we saw what we hadn’t fully appreciated during our tours. The team is incredibly attentive. They anticipated needs before we even had to ask, welcomed my in-laws by name, and made what could have been a stressful transition feel surprisingly smooth. The biggest surprise? They haven’t even been there a month, and they’ve already made friends. Seeing them settling into a community instead of just a building has meant everything to our family. We came very close to choosing another community, but in the end, the feeling we had at Ciela kept winning out. Looking back, I’m so glad we trusted our instincts. If you’re making one of the biggest decisions you’ll ever make for someone you love, Ciela is absolutely worth considering. You really do get what you pay for.

From the moment we walked in as the adult children of a senior needing care the staff and professional service staff was exceptionally welcoming. With a very resistant senior mother, she has integrated into the community fully, and quickly. She is now enjoying exceptional dining, views, nature, a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, live musical performances and new friendships. It's more than we could have hoped for and now my husband and I will make sure we are on the waitlist as soon as we turn 75 years old! We told our adult children that's where we will go too!

I organize the Friends and Newcomers of Pacific Palisades women’s monthly duplicate bridge group. We gather each month at Ciela to enjoy bridge and lunch together. I’d like to express my appreciation to Chef Santos and a staff member Lisa — the food is always delicious, and Lisa’s service is warm and friendly. The game room we use is clean, bright, and beautifully decorated, making it the perfect setting for our gatherings. Thank you, Chef Santos and Lisa, for helping make our bridge days so enjoyable!
